Looking for a good cup of coffee

Hey All,

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before (I did to a search for coffee and went through 2 pages without my question being answered so I figured I'd toss it out there...)

Now that I've been in the "real world" for about 6 months; I'm full blown addicted to coffee; I cannot get to work without stopping at dunks... I really can't.

I've never once had a cup of coffee in disney because I was never that into it before; now... even on weekends I just LOVE starting my day off with a good cup of coffee...

So, two questions really; 1) how good is the coffee in disney? I'm staying at Port Orleans, is the coffee I can get in the food court any good? and 2) is there anywhere to get a really good cup of coffee??

I appreciate it. Thanks!

When in doubt about coffee, look to the Pacific Northwest!

1) Like everyone else has said, the basic on-property coffee is nothing to write home about. It's NesCafe which isn't the worst you'll find (IMHO better then Starburnt) but still lacking any kick or pizzaz and there is FAR better to enjoy on property.

2) Kona Cafe's coffee is a great roast. If you're headed to MK, it would be worth the time to swing through there on the way and give it a try at the counter there. That being said, I think the best coffee fix I've found on property is the Shade-Grown Coffee at DAK. It's a perfect roast, not too light but not burnt. It also has a nice smooth flow to it in a latte. The three main places I can think that have it are the coffee stand outside the park before you get to bag check, on the right immediately after crossing the bridge from Oasis to Discovery Island, and at Kusufiri (the little coffee shop in Harambe outside the old Tusker House entrance). If you go to Kusufiri, make sure to get one of their cinnamon rolls too, you won't regret it. :slurp:

Only coffee place I've found better then those places is back here on the West Coast and it's a local roasting company that has a coffee shop in the same building as the roasting happens at. Doesn't get much more direct then that. :lookaroun Hope that all helps. Enjoy your new addiction.

You all are really getting me extra excited! I have ADRs for breakfast at Kona Cafe during our Easter trip. I can't wait to have the macadamia/pineapple pancakes and the press pot!:slurp:

Hey, Peoplemover, maybe we can get a Spot Coffee to open up at Marketplace - Or at least a Timmy Ho's at the Canada pavillion at Epcot?

(BTW - Hi from downtown Buffalo - looking at Lake Erie as I type this )

I have always thought that Timmy's would have the longest queue at Epcot if they gave it a chance :).

Hey, sorry to go OT, but did you know they opened a Spot across from Skydome (Rogers Centre, whatever) in Toronto? I found that a bit irksome (yes, I use the word irksome...what can I say, I was an English major).

Anyway, thanks for the greeting, neighbor :D
