i go to a relatively small school
and everyone pretty much knows everyone else, or at least heard of them...
so anyways this is what happened
sigh
(its actually kinda funny...not to mention the Resident Director signed off on this "activity"
 )
here's the story
(Danbury-WTNH, Feb. 25, 2003 11:08 PM) _ Some students say it was pretty wild party last Thursday at Western Connecticut State University.
Witnesses say female strippers showed up at a dorm and started performing. They say admission was even charged for the show.
School officials are now looking into the matter.
Students say that guys were charged 5 bucks to get into the party girls got in free.
According to the University's system code of conduct the students responsible may not have only broken school rules, but may have violated state laws as well.
"You don't go to a West Conn party expecting strippers with a live DJ," says Chrissy Weaver.
But last Thursday night, Newbury Hall lounge allegedly became "strip tease central" at WCSU in Danbury.
"I got there at the end of the party and that's where strippers were running out," says Chrissy.
Freshman Chrissy Weaver and Keith O'Connor say fliers were put up around West Conn advertising the party.
According to other students, some the university football players planned the bash.
Sheets covered the windows of the dorm lounge and strippers performed erotic lap dances with high heeled shoes on only.
"I was told on the phone that there would be strippers, but by the time I got down there I didn't get to see any of the action," says Keith.
"Were they clothed?" asks Jodi Latina.
"Two women weren't. Pretty much everyone else was," says Chrissy.
"The two women were like completely naked?" asks Jodi.
"Yeah, pretty much," says Chrissy.
A fight broke out in the crowd of 100 party goers bringing on the campus police.
"They had us stay in the lounge and kicked everyone else out."
University officials released this statement saying, "Western Connecticut State University does not condone nor sanction activities such as these. The matter is still under investigation and, if warranted, the university plans on taking appropriate disciplinary and corrective action."
"I haven't seen anything like that here maybe at UConn," says Keith.
Possible violations include unauthorized use of university property, violation of residence hall rules and lewd or obscene conduct which falls under state laws concerning nude performances. University police expect to wrap up their investigation by the end of the week punishment could be anything from expulsion to a written warning.
