Disney's Lands of Discovery: Previosly known as Look Please!

I have recently came up with an idea for a new theme park. This is not a Disney park, it is my own. Imagineer Boy though that I should post it in the forums, so I did! It is a theme park resort called Worlds of Discovery. WoD would have the following:
1. Frontier Town-frontier theme park
2. Fairytale Freeway (needs a new name)-fantasy theme park
3. Millennium Central-future, technology, & astronomy theme park
4. Botswana Bay-African Savannah themed water park
5. Worlds of Discovery Sports Compnay-sports complex
6. Seven Seas Inn-pirate and ocean themed hotel
7. Twin Pines Lodge-wilderness themed hotel
8. Civilizations-history themed hotel
9. Downtown, USA-entertainment, dining, & clubs area

Tell me what you think!:sohappy:

Most of the names need a little bit of work, but the concpets sound preety good.

And no this posses no legale problems, even in reality

The WWoS was between a man with a model he claimed to show Disney (that was nearly idnetical to what WWoS becaem) then years after his death the family sued DIsney for stealing the idea.

Very good. I have one suggestion, why don't you put Mellinium Central, Frontier Town, and Fantasey Freeway ( needs new name ) all in one park! That would be interesting. Try that idea. Give it some thought.

Well, for anyone to help you with the names I think you would need to actually expalin the concepts of the park in more detail

I actually thought about that. I didn't like it then, because I thought that I would be able to come up with more rides and attractions than I did and that each park would be fine on its own. But, now that I can't come up with many attractions, I think I will combine Fairytale Freeway, Millennium Central, and Frontier Town.

The Fairytale Freeway section has dragons, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, Mother Goose, and Peter Pan. Millenium Central is the future, technology, and astronomy. Frontier Town is the early American west. Does that help???

As for Fairytale Freeway if you wanted to keep the alliteration you coudl call it Fairytale Falls and somehow incorperate a large water terrian as the center peice of the park, or really anythign would work, Fairytale Island, Fairytale Gardens just stick with something general in terrain to match your general theme with out getting umappropratie, alliteration is not important in the name of a whole park, attractions on the other hand are.

For Millenium Central you could always barow from Walt's City of Tommorrow and call it Progress City or Medillaion City was an even later spin off or something more conceptuallike Horizons of Tommorow and have each land be a different "Horizon" of the future.

I like your idea for Fairytale Falls, Figment Dream. I was thinking more of what Disney has for Magic Kingdom's icon. The castle. It would be called Snow White's Castle. The picture is below. Millenium Central I would like to pretty much keep the same. The name can change but that is just about it.

I am at school right now, and my ride lists are at home. When I get home this afternoon after Confermation, I will post them. But most of them are themed to Dragons, Princesses, and Mother Goose. There are, I think, two or three shows for Fairytale Kingdom. Frontier Town explains itself, Cowboys, Cowgirls, Rodeos, and the old time west. Mellinium Central has more displays and informational rides than it does roller coasters and stuff. I am gonna try to get Compaq, AWAI, and Cingular Wireless to sign contracts for the area. I have no clue if they will though!

It's pretty good. I suggest you redo the Fantasey Kingdom thing. Add more Disney rides and things that have to do with enchantment and fairy tales. Don't make any thrill rides there.
The Frontier Town area sounds good, but add more rides.
Make Millenium central a combo of Futer World at Epcot and Tomorrowland. It would be interesting. Make some neat rides that are part science fiction and part fact. Sort of like Body wars, etc. Don't make it like "THE FUTER" sort of thing because that's how futer predictions television programs were like in the fifties. They couldn't have a single futer program without saying "THE FUTER"
Make the sports area seperate from the park. ( Sort of like the wide world of sports at WDW. That's all I have to say. I look forward to hearing your descriptions of your new rides.

1. Worlds of Discovery Sports Company is not part of Discovery Island.
2. None of this has anything to do with Disney. (the Fantasy Kingdom thing)
3. Millennium Central is kept pretty much the same as I have it. the Future is only one secion of the park. Not the whole thing!

AAwwwww, come on. Every Disney park has to have some ride or attraction related to Disney movies.

Anyways, here are the problems:

1) You only have 6 rides in one park and 5 in another, I think you need more to draw any type of crowds esspcially since you have no iconic draw. also not sure you can sue sleeping beauty or not it was created by the Walt Disney company, it is not the title of the orginal Fairytale it had tow goign names one was Briar Rose and I think the other was Princess Auroa.

2)This relates to the number of rides but the ride diversity is really bad, partilally from the lack of rides but you have really poor diversification of a number of types of rides, for instance you only have water rides in one park.

3) For claiming not to be a Disney park you have many, many simulatiries thorugh out, in many cases you seem to almost comlelty rip-off already established rides, the themes are general enough for you to do somehting compllety different with, so do so

4) Millenium Central is still a terrible name, don't mean to be harsh but I already tried to help you with it and you didn't do a thing to the name, Millenium imples some sort of time restraint and Central is is too vauge of a definition is it meant geographically or idealogically, and the whole name in no way give any sort of clue to the theme, which honestly even from your ride descprtions I have no idea what it is, it seems like a mix between Sci-Fi and an Technology musuem.

5) Sports company does not thrill me but that is just me personally, the only thing I have to say is look at how Wide World of Sports barley operates at a giaganitc meca of torusim then think how it might work at some new start up........
