Do worry about it, my wife doesn't get my sense of humor either.OK I get it now
I’d love to know more about the Indian proposals. I’ve read before that Singapore and Australia were also considered when Hong Kong was built.Eisner and Iger visited India for a potential park back in the day , went instead with China when Iger was CEO.
I've read during the latter part of Eisner being CEO, he and Iger visited India for prospects of opening another park. Turns out that didn't happen.I’d love to know more about the Indian proposals. I’ve read before that Singapore and Australia were also considered when Hong Kong was built.
I can’t see current Disney springing for another stateside park or resort but I could see a Tokyo style deal to franchise a resort somewhere, maybe in the middle east or possibly South Korea or Singapore

That is a myth. There is a simple way to get it in and out. The lack of access is just an incorrect rumor. They don't want to fix it because it would result in many days with the attraction down and they waited long enough that the majority of riders are totally unaware of what the Yeti was supposed to do. No need to fix it. The Yeti was originally a good idea that didn't work, but it was only a small part of the ride so it didn't really matter or at least at this point, even known about the original. The coaster ride is the attraction, the Yeti was just a quick sighting in the ride.I hope not since The Yeti cannot be fixed unless you want to tear down the entire ride..
Summers in TX make FL feel like fall weather in the same time frame. If we are talking about different locations, how about Texas?
I have never been there, but we have both coasts covered how about somewhere in the middle?
This is fun to discuss but we all know there will not be a fifth gate in FL or a new park in the US.
They can barely keep DLR and WDW working. I know, I know, folks are still coming, but all these folks deserve to arrive to a park that have attractions that are not down or broken.
They should funnel some of the money being used on Reimagining Tomorrow over to keeping the attractions working and while they are at it, fix that infamous restroom in EPCOT.
The good news it's FAKE NEWS! The bad news, it still will never get fixed..That is a myth. There is a simple way to get it in and out. The lack of access is just an incorrect rumor. And Omni mover is not a coaster that is traveling at high speed. It is still there and is seen for the same amount of time as it was before. As is any thrill ride, the Yeti is just a prop on an attraction that is a rollercoaster with a few scenes one of which is the Yeti and is nothing like the original idea, but quickly discovered that just having it stationary was as good as having it move. Is it right? No. Does it really matter? Not really. Is it ever going to be fixed? Probably not, and I would bet the farm on that. I rather see the money spent on some new attraction in DAK. The story is still there it just doesn't move like it once did, but it isn't missing and is still part of it. That one second flash doesn't negate the story.yeti legend/mystery and ultimately the reveal is the point of the attraction. the coaster is the conveyance, not the story
just as Haunted Mansion is not about riding in an Omnimover----- Omni is merely the conveyance
just as Pirates is not about riding in a boat----- boat is merely the conveyance.
now at a 6 Flaggish type operation, the coaster IS the attraction since they are devoid of storytelling.
Well people don’t go on vacation to movie theaters and movie theaters don’t need millions of visitors a year. If Disney had too many resorts their business would collapse, but maybe one more would work. Where would you build it?There is another option. Build a 3rd domestic resort.
Why is it always assumed that there can only be 2 domestic resorts in the U.S.? For 16 years, there was only Disneyland. For the last 50 years, we've had Disneyland and Disney World. Crowds at both resorts are now making the experience worse/miserable. There's nothing magical about California or Florida. A Disney resort in a less extreme climate would do just fine.
Imagine if they stopped building movie theaters in 1971...
I don't see Disney building in Texas anytime, i would say it would be more likely to be able to purchase cheap land in Mexico and it would be able to get a much better deal if they built there vs. in the US.There is also nowhere that is “close enough” to draw a significant market away from wdw or DL…
And you can’t go where it’s a “seasonal” weather climate.
What I’m saying is: nobody wants to go to Texas. And if they go there instead of wdw…what’s the point in paying for it again?
They don’t need a 5th park. They need to build the 3 parks out (except MK) much more to the point where they are all 2 day parks?
Nope…don’t need it or want it. Disney that is. Don’t want to pay for it…don’t want to staff it…don’t want people going there instead of OrlandoWe need another resort on the east coast... I just wish Disney could handle it.
North Carolina would be good, in my opinion. (Also because I am one state under it.)
That was surprising when part of the cast layoffs affected the resorts, even the dog Shadow and his male cast member handler that welcomes guests at DVC Hilton Head was part of the layoffs. We need another resort on the east coast... I just wish Disney could handle it.
