Long time to go till Disney

For all those people out there like me that are a long way from going to Disney, I Know how you feel. It is now 588 days until I go and am really jealous of those people in double or single figures.

For all the others like me. IT WILL PASS QUICKLY!:p

We went Christmas last time and it was fantastic! What is it like in the summer as this will be our first summer trip.

We visited August 1st - 22nd 2006. It was hot. Crowds weren't as bad as we expected (made the comparison to Easter holiday crowds and were expecting every school child and their parents).
Plan well, drink lots and pace yourself :D

We'll be there Jan 27 -30. Went in early Dec. but had to leave early when my Dad, in Tenn., who had terminal cancer, health turned bad quickly, passed away on the 2nd day of our trip and we had to get home. He wanted us to go. We're glad to get back and enjoy the parks. Hate we that we missed a majority of the Christmas events.

I want so bad to go during the holidays, but I work for Wal*Mart. So, unless I win the lottery or somehow get a better paying job - I've worked there awhile - I'm stuck for a few more years of no holidays at WDW. :(

Do you know how many Disney Dollars I can save before October 2009?!? Actually, since I am going in May 2009, I still have a ways to go also. But, I have discovered that planning is half the fun. I have several books on WDW and am discovering all kinds of things I haven't done before.

Thanks for reminding me that my glass is half full;) I hadn't even thought of that, yet! I wonder how many I can sock away before then. Maybe I'll start saving change and purchasing Disney gift cards as a gift to myself.

My son graduated college and now has his first "real job". So, he moved away from home, etc. Now it is the holidays and he asks what I want for Christmas. Disney Dollars, I said. "You're going to go again?" My son doesn't get it sometimes, but he's learning! Just wait until he asks what I want for my birthday! :D

Hey thanks for the welcome!

I have been checking this site out for a little while now. I think it's great there is a site like this, where people are helpful and can share their excitement with one another.....
