Long Lost Mt. Fuji at EPCOT, video found!

Found a video while browsing orlandounited...it actually has some video of an old model of Epcot WITH Mt. Fuji! Sorry, it's only a few seconds and its in the background, but that's the first time I think I've ever seen anything visually about it.

EDIT: Realized it's probably the Switzerland pavilion with its Matterhorn.

You know instead of blowing 2 billion on "next gen" and throwing out countless millions on nonsense Disney could build these and really flesh out Epcot and give it some easy thrill rides that actually make thematic sense too.

Not only would it have been awesome to experience a ride in Mt Fuji, it would have added much more depth to World Showcase.

During the WDW 15th anniversary Special Betty White Mentions it stating "A trip to Mt Fuji without Leaving the park" They did have the video of her on youtube for a while but It's been missing..However here's some concept images of Fuji..

Wow cool find. It makes me kind of sad though because that Mt. Fuji would have been awesome. World Showcase needs some more attractions, it would have be a good investment Disney. I did love seeing the double decker bus in the opening scene of the video too, those were cool!

You should see some of the original plans for Italy! They were beautiful...I will find some images.

Funny thing was I watched that video just last week but didn't notice either Fuji or the Matterhorn. Nice eyes ya got there.

Not so much these days...the only way they could build it now is if they do the Space Mountain thing and build the main show building outside the park, on the other side of Avenue of the Stars.

However....Switzerland's spot is still completely available. They just need to evict Africa back to Animal Kingdom.

Lack of funding. Italy's walk through was planned for phase two along with Fuji, and Switzerland, and the Rhine river boat in Germany. Right now they could still build them (as they all use forced perspective). In fact they were positioned around being able to fit the mountains, Germany still has the show building for the river ride and Disney does not really need international support.

I think they should build Fuji, Roman Ruins, and Rhine River. If they do that Epcot's attendance will boom!
