Hey gang, this project is far from dead. Crazy few weeks. In a nutshell, been at my job 2 years, and just spent probably the most important 3 weeks in my time there on something, so hopefully means good things down the road. I have been dying though to work on something Imagineerwise.

Think I'm gonna give it a go with Seoul for sure and likely sticking with the great land suggestion from Space. Peter Pan & restaurant are mostly done (minus a little artwork) after I finally got a few min here and there to work on it. Not sure what attraction i'll tackle next, whether another fantasy village one or elsewhere in the park. I may create a separate thread just for the finished work as i go along for easier viewing and leave this for my thoughts and brainstorming.

In the meantime, I did spend a few minutes putting together a little park intro video. I think I deleted and downloaded my adobe elements 5-6 times and seems it is officially gone to Never Neverland so having to play and learn something new. Right now i'm toying with Lightworks. Don't know if any of you have tried it. Taking some getting used to after Adobe. Here's my first stab but will probably go back and update as I get better at it.

Hey gang. Well the craziness seems to have continued for a few more weeks. I've had this stinkin' Peter Pan ride done for a few weeks, and either been out of town or without internet at home (for 2 freaking weeks). Anyway, will be posting all of the ride details and restaurant info this weekend once I can sit down at my computer. I think I'm going to keep this as my working thread for brainstorming/status updates and then just make a clean thread for the overall park with park intro and then will post the finished attractions there with links on the first post for easy viewing.

Anyway, back to PP for a second. I initially had a decent amount of artwork, but ended up scrapping all but 2 of them. Just wasn't happy with any of them. I'm somewhat pleased with how the attraction turned out but may come back at some point and modify the story and presentation a bit down the road. Until I can get the posts and art on here this weekend, I do have a preview of the attraction available via this ride thru. Hope you enjoy. Lots of trial and error trying out Lightworks (free version) and probably doing things with it it's maybe not intended for, but a pretty cool program. There's still some meh details in this, but figured out some cool things as I went along.

The artwork is fantastic! I especially like the moving pirate ship going along the ride path, such a cool effect! Reminds me of the Princess and the Frog attraction from TCG in 2017!

Thanks man. I appreciate it. PatF was definitely the inspiration and then trying to change it up with some scenes, effects and changing tunes. I had a cool moving waterfall green screen i had worked to incorpotate into one of the scene drawings, but just didnt get it to look right.

I played around a lot with that little ship and figured out if I green screened it, and did some tinkering with key frames I could make it move. Can't put it on an exact path like the trolley was, but I could move it around around utilize some of the straighter paths.

Iconic for both its premise and placement in Fantasyland at Disney parks around the world, as well as its notorious wait times, Peter Pan’s Flight is one of Disney’s class attractions that takes you on a flight into the story of the Peter Pan film. In an effort to distinguish itself from the standard versions around the world, as well as its Asian neighbors, the Pan attraction will be re-imagined as a new and immersive boat ride, Peter Pan’s Voyage.

While it may be an adjustment for those You Can Fly fans, this change will help introduce a new adventure and new experience for park goers while also providing a popular attraction that can handle a bit more crowds.

A little ride through to whet your appetite.....

Queue
Having made your way into the Londontown section of Fantasy Village, you’ll happen upon the modest home of the Darlings, home to Wendy, Michael & John. With the authentically designed street scenes, you’ll make your way right through their front door, as all guests are welcome.

The queue itself will take you in and around the Darling home with the fastpass queue still allowing you to see a number of the sets before making the journey “upstairs”. On the first floor, each room will be decorated for the period, where you’ll find various belongings of the children here and there. Be on the lookout as well for a number of hidden references to their adventures in Neverland.

PP Layout 1.jpg

To incorporate a larger indoor queue, the queue will actually wind behind a next door facade, but the decor and path will lead you along as if you are still inside the Darling home. Having reached the back of the home, you’ll make your way up the stairs.

While not stairs in actuality, this slightly elevated U path will mimic taking you up to the 2nd floor of the home, where a certain nursery awaits. Along the “stair” path, look closely at the large collection of family photos lining the walls. Many will be of distant relatives that won’t ring a bell, but a certain few Imagineers who may have found their way to Neverland at one time or another may be hidden about.

Nursery Showroom
Now that guests have made their way around the home, they will have arrived at their true destination on this visit, the children’s nursery. Here Wendy, Michael & John have had so many adventures, real and imagined, and you’ll have your chance to see if firsthand.

Ushered into the nursery in a large group similar to that of the Tower of Terror and the stretching room of the Haunted Mansion, take just a moment to look around as the real magic is about to begin.

In a blink of an eye the lights go dim and the large bay window flies open with a stiff breeze greeting all who stand inside. With a flash, pixie dust glitters in the air and Peter Pan himself stands before the hushed room. As the most extensive animatronic in the attraction, Pan moves, gestures and talks and you’ll forget he’s not real.

He’s rushed back from Neverland because he needs your help. With the children and their parents away on holiday, you as the caretakers of the home are his next best hope to save Neverland. Captain Hook is at it again and assembled his biggest threat to Neverland yet.

With the help of his expanded pirate crew, he’s stolen the Eye of Neverland from Mermaid Lagoon. While not a real eye, the Eye of Neverland is just as important as the land itself. A large glittering diamond in the shape of an eye, it has lain protected and virtually unknown for many years until Hook’s daring theft.

With its removal from its resting place in the lagoon, the clock is ticking for its return, else Neverland will become completely locked out from every boy and girl. Can you imagine no more adventures in Neverland? Captain Hook has to be stopped!

Unfortunately, Peter and Tinkerbell don’t have enough pixie dust to fly each of you to Neverland. As if on cue, Tinkerbell makes her presence felt filtering about the room. “It’s alright Tink” Peter tells her, “We’ll still get them there”. “I know it’s a lot of boys and girls though”.

As it turns out, Peter has brought a magical ship with him and with just a little bit of pixie dust and your good thoughts, you can sail your way to Neverland. “Your ship my friends, awaits you outside”

With that, Peter vanishes back out of the window at which point the side door to the nursery opens and you’ll make your way outside of the home.

Loan/Unload and Ride Vehicle
Having left the nursery, you’ll find yourself on a side street of London with the river Thames nearby. After a short queue, guests will arrive at the loading area for the attraction.

With a similar capacity to the boats from Pirates of the Caribbean and It’s a Small World, your vessel will very much resemble a small pirate ship. From the raised stern and rigging along the sides, your adventure is really ready to begin.

Ride Through
Pulling out on your journey to Neverland, you will slowly drift your way down the Thames, and begin your departure from London.

PP Layout 3.jpg

Scene 1 London
Having begun your ride in the evening, your ship will glide effortlessly past the brightly lit Parliament building with Big Ben chiming in the background. Ahead lies the Westminster Bridge. A dazzling sight to be sure.

To your right, the scene and room opens up expansively as you’re also in the London room of Kensington’s. Set to resemble the old streets of London, a few curious onlookers will watch as you make your slow departure out the city.

Approaching the bridge, Peter Pan can be seen telling you to get ready, thing good thoughts and…

house-of-parliament.jpg

Scene 2 Passage to Neverland
“Here we goooooooooo……..”
After passing through the bridge, the lights of London have vanished and you immediately find yourself plunging into darkness.

**Splash**

Scene 3-4 Never Neverland
And with that you’ve arrived.

The darkness gives way to gleaming sunshine, the sounds of waves and birds. Passing through a few large rock formations and barrier islands, your ship enters the clearing and you have a chance to look all around. Behind you is the Neverland Room at Kensington’s, but before you lies the one and only Neverland. Waterfalls, mountains, trees, beaches; this large showroom will seem to go on forever with the grandeur and scale of the scene all around you.

Ahead, a small fluttering light. It can only be Tinkerbell, as she leads you further into Neverland.

Scene 5 Mermaid Lagoon
First stop, Mermaid Lagoon, the scene of the crime.

Here you float through all series of rock formations with Peter standing tall among them. All around various mermaid animatronics splash, each trying to frantically tell you and Peter what happened. Peter can be heard telling them you have all come to help, and with that they cheer you on your way.

Scene 6 Hook'd
The bright and cheery air of Mermaid Lagoon gives way to the dangerous and foreboding Skull Rock. Ahead lies the Jolly Roger and sorts of pirate merriment can be heard aboard.

“Quiet mates” Pan can be heard whispering. “Let’s sneak up on them and have a little fun”. Leave it to Peter Pan to still try and have a bit of fun at a time like this.

As you float past the Jolly Roger and Skull Rock, Peter can be seen hanging from the mast secretly tying many of the pirate’s boots to the mainsail. Meanwhile, Hook is leading his men in a number of rousing pirate bitties. That’s a pretty big crew, and even with your help, you may need a few more hands on deck.

Having rounded Skull Rock, you get one more look at the Jolly Roger and a few helpless pirates dangling high above deck.

Scene 7-8 Lost & Found
Venturing further around and into Neverland, you find yourself surrounded by more and more foliage, and a number of large trees.

These meandering scenes will be very reminiscent of The Wizard of Oz set from the departed Great Movie Ride. Heavily immersive and detailed, surrounding the canal will be the numerous ingenious hideouts and homes of the one and only Lost Boys. As you float further into their domain, the Hangman’s Tree appears and a few heads pop out here and there to inspect the visitors.

Pan appears as you round the bend rallying his troops for the offensive with Captain Hook. And look who has joined them! Wendy, Michael & John have made their way to Neverland afterall. It’s all hands on deck.

In the background, Follow the Leader can be heard and departing the forest the Lost Boys are seen marching behind Peter, ready for mischievousness and fun.

Scene 9 The Duel
Having arrived back in the waters around Neverland, you happen upon the Jolly Roger. On board, Pan and Hook are seen dueling it out, the clang of their sword and dagger ringing in the air.

Around you, bumbling pirates attempt to get the cannons ready to fire, and a few have ventured away from the ship in an attempt to lead an all out offensive. Too bad for them, the boats are leaking badly thanks to a few well placed holes by the Lost Boys and they are slowly sinking into the waters. On another, one very large pirate has exceeded the weight limit meant for the small craft and apparently is none to fond of the water..

Scene 10 Catch us if you can
As the battle has waged on, Peter has managed to snag the Eye, and cannon fire from the Jolly Roger randomly splashes around you. Fortunately for you, these pirates are a pretty bad shot.

Standing on a rock at the end of the scene, he urges you on as it’s time to fly this battle where those pirates will have no chance to follow. Making your way out of the bay, you catch a parting glimpse of Hook with a wry smile on his face. In all the commotion, he’s managed to snag Tinkerbell! “Don’t worry friends, we’ll save her” Peter exclaims.

Scene 11 You Can Fly
With that, your ship begins it’s slow ascent into the clouds via conveyor. You Can Fly plays in the background and the scenes on either side change as you glide higher and higher through the wafting clouds.

Off to the right, the Jolly Roger can be seen floating along too. Using a bit of screen magic built into the scenes and clouds on either side, riders catch all the action as Hook is using Tinkerbell and her pixie dust to chase after you.

At the top of the lift, the scene opens slightly to a lifesize set and there’s Peter aboard the Jolly Roger rescuing Tink!

Scene 12 What Goes up must come Down
After Tinkerbell’s rescue, your ship starts it’s glide down but without the pixie dust, Hook and the Jolly Roger are in for a much ruder landing.

With a gentle whoosh down the ramp, your ship makes a perfect landing into the waters blow. Nearby the sounds and crashing can be heard and a faint “Noooooo” from Hook.. Things didn’t go so well for those pirates.

Scene 13 Tic Toc
As your ship floats effortlessly along, you catch a view of the aftermath of the pirates return from the sky. All around large chunks of the Jolly Roger lie floating and smashed on the rocks below. Pirates are seen scrambling to get to safety and as you make your way through the wreckage, you see why.

The Tic Toc Croc has arrived and he looks ready to eat. Re-enacting one of the classic scenes of the Pan attractions, Hook is seen dangling above the open mouth of Tic Toc with Pan laughing idly in the background.

Scene 14 The Voyage Home
After all this fun in Neverland, it’s time for you to return home and Peter, Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys are sending you back in grand style.

Having left the waters of Neverland, you find yourself back on the Thames with the sights and sounds of London all around. Above, several small ships are seen floating through the sky all filled with Lost Boys who’ve escorted you home. Tinkerbell’s trail of pixie dust flitters about the night sky in and out of the fireworks generated from the boy’s cannons.

And there’s Peter Pan waving from high atop Big Ben. This voyage has come to an end.

Kensington's
Just down the street from Peter Pan’s Voyage, amongst the various facades decorate this street of Londontown, sits Kensington’s. This table service restaurant serves as the iconic dining experience within the Fantasy Village.

The creation of a former Lost Boy himself, Kensington or Kensie as he is remembered in Neverland, the restaurant offers up an eclectic menu with a bit of british flair, with some color and adventure from a land far away. Not exactly the fittest or fastest of the Lost Boys, Kensington found himself much more adept at studying and preparing food. After his return from Neverland, and finding a family of his own, he embraced this talent and now is ready to welcome you to his new restaurant.

Celebrating both London and Neverland, guests will have the opportunity to experience not one, but two different settings during their meal depending on where their adventure takes them. Each room having its own distinctive setting and mood, though with a shared menu.

From a few British staples, to items with the color and flair of Neverland, there is something for everyone at Kensington’s.
PP Layout 2.jpg

Set up
The restaurant itself is split up into two large dining rooms, London and Neverland, with a large shared kitchen in between the two rooms. While the menu items are the exact same, the menu appearance, staff uniforms, etc. will be decidedly different pending which dining area you are in.

Each of the two areas will have an overlooking few of a different scene from Peter Pan’s Voyage, as well as a heavily themed environment all around them.

London Dining Room - Seating for 126
After departing the check-in area, guests follow their host/hostess to the left and enter a hallway leading to a slightly more dimly lit room ahead. Coming to the end of the hall, the room opens up into a large mockup of a London street.

Building and housing facades line all of the walls, street lamps are dotted about, the floor appears to be made of old cobblestones with the dining area seemling sitting in the middle of a quiet, yet stunning London street.
c25f0852587877.59158845760a2.jpg

Entering further into the dining area, guests glimpse the focal point of the room, the river Thames and the beautiful night sky over the Parliament building and Big Ben. Riders on Peter Pan’s Voyage have just begun their journey and are slowly floating down the river towards the Westminster Bridge which is at one of the large show scene.

This setting will bring a quiet and beautiful ambiance to the dining experience as you have a chance to soak in all of the street scenery around you and the occasional chiming of Big Ben in the distance.

London Menu copy.jpg

Neverland Dining Room - Seating for 150
On the opposite scale of London, guests will also have the opportunity to dine in a dining room themed towards Neverland. After leaving the check-in area and turning towards the right, you’ll notice some foliage and ambient forest noise in the background.

Walking into the large open space, all around you’ll find massive trees providing a canopy and backdrop for diners around. Looking to your left as you’ve entered the room, the scene seems to go on for days as you find the island of Neverland looming large in the distance. Part of another scene from Peter Pan’s Voyage, the show scene extends away from the dining room lending tremendous depth and viewing to all in the room.

Riders on Peter Pan’s Voyage will have just completed their journey from London to Neverland via a short drop which extends behind the exterior of the large kitchen. To account for this change in elevation, the Neverland Dining Room has three dining sections tiered off with the lowest being at the front where the attraction is located and rising to the highest tier in back. This helps with viewing for restaurant patrons, but also helps wait staff accommodate the elevation change in the restaurant.
Small sets of stairs lead up from each section of the restaurant and a flat, angled path adjacent to the kitchen provides an additional method for staff to reach each area without using stairs.
