We just booked our cruise in 2014. We have chosen to fly in the day before. This is where we looking for help. We were going to stay at a hotel near MCO and take the Disney transfer the morning of the cruise from MCO to PC. We're also thinking about staying someone near PC instead but wondering how we can get from MCO to any hotels near PC on the day we fly in. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give us.

You could always book a room at the Hyatt that's IN the airport. Hubby & I stayed there last September and it was super convenient. You don't even have to haul your luggage down to the bus. Hyatt has a program for Disney cruisers where they'll come get your tagged luggage from your room for you and the next time you see it will be in your stateroom on the ship.

If you wanted to go out to Port Canaveral / Cocoa Beach to spend the night I'd think you'd be best to rent a car in the airport and drive. It's not all that far & not a difficult route. You can return the car the next morning and use their shuttle to the terminal.

If I'm on Disney transfers, the Hyatt is my first choice every time. As Sweetpee said, it's so so convenient!

We've also rented cars and stayed in Port Canaveral. We like the Radisson and the Residence Inn, but there are other good places. :)

Some hotels in PC have shuttle service to the port. In fact some encourage people to park their personal cars there (for less than at the port) and take the shuttle.

So you ahve a number of options.

Hotel in or near MCO and a Disney shuttle.

Rent a car at MCO, drive to PC, stay in a hotel, return the car in the AM in PC and take the rental car shuttle to the port

Rent a car, drive to PC, return the car in PC in the evening, stay at a hotel with shuttle service, take the hotel shuttle in the AM

You could also rent a private car to take you to PC

On my August 2012 Dream cruise we flew in a day early and stayed at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort. You're right across the street from Downtown Disney and the hotel was very nice.

I've used Florida Towncar Service for over 20 years and booked them for transfers. We had the same driver for the trip from the airport to the hotel, hotel to port and the port back to the airport.

That night before the cruise we toured Downtown Disney, had a great meal at Raglan Road then lingered until dark taking in the sights and sounds which was a terrific lead-in to start the vacation.
