Good Morning People. Just a quick question on the safes at Disney resorts.Does all resorts,value,mod,& deluxe,have them fitted in their rooms.And are they all the same size?. One more question,how safe are they.? I read a while ago that someone's safe was opened and stuff was stolen when they returned from the parks.Our suitcases have combination locks and we tend to put our souvenirs in them,but put our passports,jewellery,cash in the small wall safe.Your opinions please.

Don't have any problems with the safes @CSR. I suppose if someone was unscrupulous enough they could raid the safes but its a risk you take at any hotel anywhere in the world

The safes are secure. They aren't very big though. I keep all of our money in there but the souvenirs are just left out on the table and entertainment center. We never hide those or stick them in our luggage and have never had a problem.

It seems like they are all the same size... small. We always use them never any problems. We try to wait til the last day to buy souvenir's if possible.. But I have never had any problem with CMs and our stuff.

I always leave the safe open hoping someone will come along and put something valuable in it...so far no go.

We usally put our I.d.'s and cash in there..we leave our good Jewlery at Home But I think those safes are fine...as good any you would find in most Hotels!!

We leave all of our things out and about. We have locked up cameras and wallets in the past. Never had a problem!!

We use the safe for any money we are not taking with us to the parks that day and have never had any issues. Everything else we leave in the room on the table, floor, beds (I can't help it, I'm a little messy on vacation lol)

Yeah the safe is not very deep so I usually just keep things such as, a watch, park receipts, and maybe my spare pair of glasses. I use it as my own personal junk drawer so the kids don't get to things.

The safes are all the same general size. Most can handle a smallish size laptop. My 13" MacBook Pro and 2 iPads pretty much fill the safe, with some room for cash, credit cards, small jewlery box etc. But anything beyond that won't fit.

We too use the safe, for money or small valuables, they aren't big. But they hold enough for our purposes. And we have never had an issue with them what so ever.

We always use the safe for jewelry and any credit cards or money that we aren't carrying. Only had a problem with one mousekeeper when she ate a good portion of the chocolate chip cookies I'd made and brought with us.

My friend once put her 13" Macbook inside one of the safes in the Polynesian. I've also kept iPads, iPods, money, pins and a couple of other things in that safe and it's never been stolen or broken into (knock on wood!!) We tend to leave our luggage unlocked as well ... and anything we buy in our drawers.
