The hydrolators go down a couple of inches but that is all

The Living Seas is a very DATED attraction. I visited in October right before the ride closed and I can honestly say that I have a better time looking at the aquarium in my city. I do believe that the marine world should be represented in Epcot because it should have a little of all (land, sea, air, and space) The land is the land and even though it is dated, it still serves as a decent attraction. The living seas needs a major rehaul...maybe keep the same concept...just update it a little bit...make the ride longer, maybe make a completely glass tube you walk through...so the sealife swims under your feet as well as all around you and get rid of the ride altogether.

this ride definitely needs improvement and i thinkwhat they need to do is on the ride part, they should make the aqiummuch tighter to the aquarium so it feels a little like you are with the fish, plus they need to make the ride much much longer because it is about 10 seconds long right now.
That "Stormrider" ride at Port Discovery sounds absolutely awesome! Are there any plans to bring this TDS attraction stateside anytime soon?
As I understand it, Tom, there have already been active discussions at WDI about opening a version of "Stormrider" at Epcot sometime in late 2005 / early 2006. The current feeling is that - what with this attraction's obvious ties to the ocean (Most of the storyline for this TDS simulator ride is set out at sea, high up in the air at the outermost edge of a massive hurricane) - this Port Discovery show would make a great (and logical) addition to Future World's "Living Seas" pavilion.
The only problem now is . Finding a new corporate sponsor for "The Living Seas" that has some very deep pockets. Ideally, it would have to be an eco-friendly company that would be willing to underwrite an extensive redo / expansion of this somewhat tired Epcot pavilion.
Mind you, Mickey's willing to kick a few of his own millions to help kick start construction of the project. But what the Mouse would really like is for some corporation to come forward with $100 million or so that's necessary to freshen up all of "The Living Seas" 's current exhibits as well as build those two huge new theaters that Epcot needs to properly present "Stormrider."
