Trip Report LIVE- from Pop Century May 10-15

Jambo!! Just arrived at Pop Century this morning. We , my DD 21- DD Best Friend 21- and myself- no age needed. Lol. Stayed off site last night for free using points.

Arrived at Pop Century via personal vehicle at 6:10. Line for MK at 6:15 with a park listed opening time of 8am- already have about 15 people in it.

we are headed to AK with a park listed opening time of 8am. We are first in line at 6:15. Second and third in line showed up at 6:20. CM walked over and let us know first bus will be here at 6:45. At 6:30 there were 20 people in line.

Giving lots of line and bus info since it’s the hit questions now.

Yak & Yeti

We are so excited to try this restaurant. Every visit requires new restaurants and usually we do some sort of show or excursions but of course those are not available so we will save that for our Thanksgiving trip. I do have to say though if the Wild Africa Trek comes back I CANNOT suggest that your enough.
We checked in and they gave us a wonderful table on the top floor.

Here is our appetizers. We chose the firecracker shrimp and the dumplings.

Both were so yummy!! I am not a spicy person but this shrimp was amazing. The crunch. And hear were delicious. The dumplings were great as well but nothing spectacular to make them stand out from other dumplings. For a spin on a dumpling you need to check out Kona Cafes!!

I ordered the wonton soup with a side of coconut shrimp. The soup was not spectacular and I was actually quite let down by it. I expected some fresh veggies in it but that was not the case. It was also very salty. The shrimp had a great crunch to it and the flavor was amazing. Sadly it came with a BBQ sauce which is NOT what I expected. I didn’t use the sauce and ate the shrimp dry.

DD had the combo lo mein. It was amazing!!!

Her bestie chose the tiki masala and she loved it

Overall we really enjoyed the restaurant and plan to go back. We did end up freeeeeeezing up where we were though

Next stop was a quick dash back to hotel to get car and drive to the Nike Clearance Center. This is a must visit for us every time we come. We figured we had just enough time to get over there and return to hop on skyliner for our Beaches and Cream reservation. Off we went

We made it back in time to drop of our goods and I grabbed my new light sweater. It was an overcast day and the night was going to be chilly. Made it to the restaurant and we of course decided on the Kitchen Sink!! This was something we had wanted to do but never seem to make it over. Perfect time with bestie so we went for it

The progression from a beautiful concoction to a mess came quicker than we expected. We also were not eating fast

Day 5. EPCOT
We took the Skyliner and got in line at Epcot. They opened the gates at 10:10 and we headed to Frozen. In Frozen line at 10:22. Posted wait time is 15 min. On ride at 10:25.
So nice waking with no one around

Went to Test Track and in line at 10:41. Posted wait time was 50 min. We were on ride at 11:05.

Decided to head to The Land and see the Soarin’ line. It was too long for us (75 min) and we knew the line would get shorter. Off to Living with the Land!! We walked in the ride with no wait at 11:28

We are super hungry so we decided to start our World Tour

This momma was adorable crossing over to another area.

They had the inside restaurant area available for dining and so we headed in. It was AMAZING. So many open tables and the AC was great. We loved the nachos and the guacamole

Into Norway and finally get to try the Troll Horn. Yummy! We all order the Viking coffee and it was soo good. The troll horn was perfectly crisp on the outside with a slightly orange flavor of the cream. Not too sweet just how I like it. I also tried the school bread and WOW. Super yummy

Germany was a bummer bc we were super excited about the pretzel but it was such a let down. We used to love in Germany and missed them. The pretzels we got were very hard

We of course walked into the caramel shop

I only bought the minis box. Haven’t tried yet.

We waited in line for quite a while in Italy in front of the fountain. The only had one CM at the cart and it was brutal. We finally got to the front after about 25 min and the CM then told us the Magic Band reader was down. Yikes!! That’s all I have for payment. Luckily DD bestie had a card on her.

My son LIVED on those chocolate frosted donuts from Joffrey's on our last trip. That and french fries were the only things he would eat in Disney. He won't eat the pizza or their chicken nuggets, he won't eat mac 'n' cheese or spaghetti, etc or hamburgers. He LOVED those donuts, though!

They really are amazing!!! He made a good choice. Lol

My favorite place is the Les Halles Boulangerie-Pattiserie. We found the best food deal of the day. You can order lobster bisque in a bread bowl for $5.95. But you can also order it so the soup is in a bowl and you get a half loaf baguette for the same price! We were so excited and even though it was really hot out it hit the spot. I was not thrilled about the color of the bisque but the taste was really good I have a feeling it probably sat a while but so many people around us had the bread bowl so maybe it wasn’t that old
