Live DJ dance party at the American Gardens Theater

I'm pretty sure the number of dance parties in WDW just about tripled in the last two days. Are the parks really so crowded they need lots of extra little diversions like these?

Yeah, very hard to believe.

And nothing represents our great country like playing The Macarena into Cotten-Eye Joe...sigh..

What's with the huge influx of dance parties lately? Is there a reason behind them? :lookaroun

Because its a very cheap, easy way to to market "special entertainment" or attempt to create a more lively atmosphere with minimal effort. With a single paid DJ and few cheap lights and decorations, TDO can create the illusion of actual entertainment without really providing any.

Would it kill anyone to have live bands in Tomorrowland like they used to (and still do at DL)? Or perhaps have a band during the daytime hours at America Gardens (and not just on weekend for Flower & Garden?).

One of the things that upsets me the most at WDW is the decline of live entertainment. Epcot has held its own pretty nicely (despite the potential loss of British Invasion), AK recently lost the band that played across from Flame Tree, but MK really suffers.
