A Queen will usually have multiple Toms. That is how you get a rainbow of different kittens. In our littler, there must have been a orange Tom. Then somehow a white Tom got action too.

LOL

Questlove is the new director for Aristocats. Like many other Disney writers and directors lately he has a very small resume (like Jeff Loveness). Apparently you don't have to do much to get a job with Disney.

I had to do a double take on this one. I figured I had to have missed the part where he had any director experience. So I went to imdb and I guess I didn't miss anything.

Yeah, I know.

I guess you just have be involved with Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon to get a job. Not sure of his late night credits, but I think Elmo from Sesame Street would be a good director for Blade.

Disney hires them because they work cheap and have no experience. If their Disney project fails, they are dead in Hollywood. That is why no one wants to make a Star Wars film.

Damn! (is that word allowed?) I misread and thought this said "live-action ASTEROIDS" and got excited because I thought it would be a movie version of the classic Atari game!!!

He could be a good director, we have no real clue. But I'm not sure putting him in a movie to start is a good idea. Maybe have him direct some episodes of something for D+ or abc. See if he's a good fit for what you are doing. Or maybe they figure he's a lot cheaper to hire and that's part of the cost cutting.

Wouldn't it be better to get someone you know is good and make a product that is actually good?

Afterall getting a guy to write Antman 3, whose mainly only written for Jimmy Kimmel didn't seem to work out for them. They have to stop being so cheap and lazy. And they have to care about the movies and shows they are creating. .... Because if they don't then we won't.

The funny part is they seem to cheap out with stuff like this. But then why are most of the budgets through the roof? 200mil plus, that's fine for an avengers or a civil war type event film. But for antman? Or reportedly 260mil for the lion king remake? Who knows what this budget is. But it needs to be around $120 or so in my opinion. So many movies could have had their narrative changed with a more responsible budget. If antman QM had a budget of 130mil or so, it's currently in the green. Not by a ton but it's still better optics. When people start hearing, bomb, losing money, underperforming... I believe it makes them reluctant to go to the theater and more likely to just wait for D+.
