Littlekitten's Monstrous Trip Report

Well hi folks, this is my first ever attempt at a TR so you'll have to bear with me if I get anything wrong . So sitting here by the pool, at our fab villa, writing this as everyone else is asleep!!!

Yesterday was our first full day here, and so we headed out at 7am in search of some sustenance, we decided to head up to the Golden Corral at little lake Bryan, and as always it didn't disappoint.

From there we headed up to Florida Mall, for a little bit of retail therapy, my 10 year old and 13 year old had money burning holes in there pockets . So my son brought his 1st pair of Oakleys,
and my daughter hit te make-up and Aeropostale, old navy, and a&f and ..... You lot know the score.

My DD in the turqouise and my DS trying to eat the M&M
Then we stop for a quick bite at Charleys, and then headed back to the villa for a quick swim in the pool.

So after the swim we headed over to Animal Kingdom to see the parade, we also had all out paper tickets transferred over to RFID cards, no wrist bands yet.

The park was really full today, never seen it so busy, so we walk over to Asia and found a great spot to watch the parade, this is the 5th time we've been and only the 1st time we've seen the parade , it was wonderful, the characters were amazing really interactin with the kids in the crowd, which was great as my son has ADHD/ODD bordering on autism and it was really magical.

Then we went on Kali River Rapids which is my hubby's favourite ride and boy were we wet lol :D :D

But do you know the best bit of the afternoon for me was that on the way back to the entrance we happened upon the new Mickey and Minnie meet and greet, said it was a 20min wait, the cm ushered us straight in and there were Minnie an Mickey, lookin absolutely fab I have to say, and they played with both my kids for such a long time it was awesome, but here's the best bit, my DH who not once in all the times we've been here had a cuddle and his picture taken with them  it was my best moment so far when I get the pictures I will post them photographer Charles was just awesome too..

So on Friday 24th May which was the Monstrous 24hr event we headed to Magic Kingdom, by way of Kona Café, OH MY GOD, why oh why have we not eaten here before!!!!!

We parked at the TTC and got the Monorail round to the Polynesian, oh my its just so beautiful, the waterfall in the main entrance is just amazing and all the orchids…. Well just to say I was so impressed.

Our reservation was for 7.45am but we arrived really early and they seated us at 7.30. Our server Eric was absolutely awesome, I have a wheat allergy and honestly they couldn’t do enough to make sure my meal was just fantastic.

My DH had the Tonga Toast, my m-i-l had the Pineapple and Macadamia nut pancakes, I had the Big Kahuna with a few modifications and the kids had Ham and eggs and Tonga Toast. Oh and a pot of 100% Kona!!! Oh my the food was to die for and we will be doing this again before the end of the holiday is out.

So we started off by grabbing us some special pins for the 24hr event the off up main street we went hanging a left at Casey’s and heading for AdventureLand. We were going to wait and see Tink but the queue was so huge we consoled ourselves with our 1st ever Dole Whip!!!

I know again I am saying why, why have we never had one? I don’t know but god there good and we need more!!! So we walked and ate/slurped our way down to the Jungle Cruise which we haven’t done since our 1st visit, and had a trip down memory lane. The kids thought it was great.

Then we headed off to PoC which we walked straight on, which was fantastic as always. From there we headed to Splash closely followed by Big Thunder, then a spot of lunch a Pecos Bill the burgers were great!!!

Then 2 other 1st’s for us Country Bears and Liberty Belle Boat.

Which were both great and as it was so hot a lovely way to cool down. Then after the belle we went to the Hall of Presidents which I have to say I enjoyed immensely and my DS was mesmerized and was pledging his allegiance on his way out which I thought was great. By then I was 3pm and everyone was a little frazzled so we headed for home and the pool.

Later after the kids were in bed and the m-i-law had said ok, DH and I headed back to MK to join in the 24hr celebrations.

It was monstrous, we rode rides and ate cupcakes and chilli-dogs at Caseys while watching the new projections on the castle. Needless to say we were extremely tired the following day. But wow it was awesome!!!
