Little Einsteins missing from the parks

My little girl absolutely loves the new show on Disney Playhouse called "The Little Einsteins." It's based on the educational "Baby Einstein" and seems to be generating quite a fanbase. We encountered several parents outside of Playhouse Disney at the Disney Studios looking for merchandise, toys and characters meet-n-greets. It seems to be the perfect addition to the Playhouse attraction, but I'm sure that it would involve quite of bit of work and money to add.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of when (or even 'if') Disney will be adding The Little Einsteins to the parks. I know my DD would be delighted. :D

I had heard on the news, just briefly (I was only paying half attention), that a recent study showed that the Baby Einstien series did not help in child development.

If someone has more accurate information regarding this it would be appreciated.

Maybe Disney does not want to associate with the product right now.

This is all conjecture on my part. I don't know how big the study or news story was.

I agree that that series is very popular right now and I have never seen any merchandise regarding it at the parks.

Baby Einstein and the Little Einsteins are two different products. I'm not sure how much either would really help in child development per se, but I would admit that both are exceptional products for toddlers. I would also like to see a link to that news story if anyone has it.

Edit: Found this story... http://www.chicagotribune.com/featu...964891.story?page=1&coll=chi-leisuretempo-hed

It doesn't appear to be a "study" but an article written by "Media Mom" who does movie reviews. The article does state a study will be released soon concerning marketing of educational media for children.

Thanks for looking wannab@dis. Must just have been the usual media over-hype.

I was referring to the possible negative publicity that the product may be receiving right now.

After re-reading my post, I can see how that would be unclear. Sorry for the confusion.

My three year old is very stubborn and refused to speak for the longest time...had about 50 words at 12 months and then just stopped talking..maybe a word here and there...his 18 month old brother has the same level vocabulary...the earliest I could get him in for a speech evaluation is the end of Febuary...but since he started watching Little Einsteins he is talking up a storm, participates in helping 'Rocket' blast-off and tries to sing along...absolutely amazing...educational or not...my son responded to them and we are finally moving forward instead of sitting and spinning our wheels.

We are going back to WDW at the end of January. My daughter also loves the show. I will be on the look out. I will ask a CM while I am there if they know of any plans.

They are comming

Little Einstiens just started in early October. My 2 year old loves the show too. I believe the the Little Einstiens will start making character apperances sometime in the spring 06. Little Einstien merchandice will not be out for a while until sometime in 07. I think Disney/Baby Einstien/Little Einstien company were waiting to see how the show was excepted by children prior to launching any toys. I also saw the characters at MNSHP also. The tv show Little Einstiens has great ratings for the age bracket it is intended for. So wait a few months and you will start seeing June, Annie, Leo, and Quincy soon at MGM.

That's what I think! (the part in bold) I've found a show geared toward the toddler set that I can tolerate (dare I say... enjoy!? ) as well. :)

And that's wonderful about your son! :sohappy:

4 of them, June, Annie and Leo, and the other little boy. Man why can't I remember his name. Little PhD would be so dissaponted in me.

And I call myself a good mother!

It is a cute show, very educational. I think the hoopla was over weither or not exposing babys to classical music is educational. It may or may not be, but kids like it, and I do too.

We are going in a couple weeks and my son (who will turn 3 during our trip) really loves LE. Santa will be kind and get him the movie. It would be to see them in the parks, but if they aren't there in a couple weeks, odds are he'll be too old the next time we go. :D
