To anyone who has visited IOA or US recently:

Is the problem rampant or has Universal severely cracked down lately? We had a horrible experience at one of my favs (Jurassic Park) last Easter break. I want to be prepared this year.

tbh i didnt notice any q jumping at all. They also had cm's scattered through rides like the mummy and duelling dragons where it would be easy to queue jump as a preventative way of stopping it....

Infact the last time i can recall queue jumping was by a bunch of college students at dlrp. At pretty much every ride i went on ... although us brits are made to queue :D so i got on the ride eventually and they didnt *really* get that far infront. I have noticed that alot of european mainland parks (parc d'asterix, dlrp, and port aventura) do NOTHING to stop this...)

But of course, i digress :zipit:

Just got home from a day at IOA and Uni. Didn't see any problems with jumping. There was the occasional mom and kid catching up with husband in line, but that's to be expected with kids and their sudden bathroom calls.

Other than that, no problems at all.

Employees were stationed everywhere though.

Yeah, alot of people at Disney have that entitlement issue going on. :(

i only found it most prolific in the magic kingdom and animal kingdom... everywhere else was dead so it wasnt so bad. My lady got pushed about on the way out of fantasmic... which was a shame as she sprained her ankle

Universal was incredibly chilled out

Thanks, I'm glad to know about the extra team members. At Jurassic Park last year, the team member where the blatant jumping occured, was pretty much on his own. By the time his supervisor arrived, the two men (no children needing to potty) were nearing their boat and had spent the interim yelling back at us that nothing was going to happen to them. Had unmagical experiences at Fantasmic and believe it or not the ferry between Epcot and the Studios. DS(19) is visually impaired (rare disorder called aniridia) so we are seated down front at Fantasmic. We actually had people screaming at us "He doesn't look blind":brick: and at Epcot a CM was showing us were to go get on the ferry with wheelchair (DS had twisted ankle trying to avoid a small darting child) when a man waiting to get in Epcot let go of his park pass. It was windy and the pass blew in our direction......the jerk yells "Hey, you" and points to the pass and motions for the CM to bring it to him....when she did, he jerks it out of her hand.......I couldn't stand it I yelled to him "You should say thank you and have a little respect for the hardworking CMs!" I promised DS I would no longer say things to jerks once he turned 18, but that doesn't mean I can't say it to people who are mean to others:goodnevil

Sorry for the above rant.....it's hard to say nothing in situations where wrong is occuring especially since we always travel to WDW and US/IOA with students. High school kids may look like they aren't paying attention, but they are. God bless team members and cast members for putting up with what they do. At least if someone at my job acts up with me I can write them up and send them to In School Suspension!!

sok - this is probably a good place to vent on here as not many people come here :king: you can chill out here too :animwink: we have all been there im afraid.

also - remember is universal, so its not soo bad when you accidentally of course - use foul language in acknowledgement of your disdain ;)

I've visited Universal 30+ times I've never seen queue jumping of any kind. The only time I've seen queue jumping in my 14 years of visiting Florida was actually at Splash Mountain people are usually pretty respectful.

I witnessed HORRIBLE Queue jumping at IOA. There was some group there (noticed all the matching shirts and the flags) and they would blatantly (as an entire group) just cut people at every switchback.

Needless to say, there was a group behind us...I noticed the "leader" going to make his move...I gave him a look, he backed down... But, everytime I turned my back, he was attempting to. My gf would keep an eye on them and nudge me everytime she thought they were trying  Anywho, I got wet on Popeye before they did

I don't see too much line jumping at Universal. I don't let people line jump me anyway. They can't get by a 6'3" tall guy who doesn't give a space to line jump! If you do see line jumpers, embarass them as much as possible. Point at them and yell "Line jumpers!" Make them feel like scum. Then tell the Team Member and the line jumpers will be escorted out of the attraction.
