While walking back to the fast past return for Splash Mt. two people ran up and cut my daughter and myself off when the cast member ask to see their fast past it was for a later time and told them to come back in 25 min. once we enter and are walking through the que I notice the couple in the stand by line then I notice them jump the rope into the fast pass line when we reach the cast member that allows the fast past line and stand by line to merge they were let trough when the next cast member asked for their fast past he noticed and escorted them out of line to the exit thankfully people like this are the ones that annoy me. People that try to cut and work it to get in frount of everyone giving no care to the 5 year old they knocked out of their way is annoying anyways just venting.

Yeah people can get crazy with all that stuff. I was at U.s. when the where doing trial runs of The Mummy a few years back. We where waiting in line and 5 or 6 people come pushing other people out of the way so they can catch up with there Friends. They got pulled off the ride and everyone on-line was clapping and laughing.

People are so rude I hate when they do stuff like this but I think the bigger problem here is the fastpass system. There needs to be some changes made starting with people arriving late foe their FP time. I understand that peope get held up but the cut off time should be 30 minutes. If you show up later than this you should be turned away because people showing up hours after their time backs up the FP line which inturn backs up the regular stand bye line especially on Soarin!

Some people will do anything. I always love it when there "We're smart enough to jump over the rope to get in quickly" policy doesn't pay off!

I agree the treatment that they gave you and your child was outrageous. But, ToddLee, there is sometimes an explanation for the catching up with friends in line. I usually am traveling with young children. I have 5 kids ranging in age from 19 to 3 and inevitably someone has to go to the bathroom after waiting in line for 30 minutes. So you run to the bathroom and try to get back to your family. Usually it works out OK, but you do get some dirty looks.

One time when my now 19 year old son, his sister, and I had waited in line for SM for 40 minutes when he had to go. We were close to the front of the line so I made hime hold it. I think this was around '98 (the year before AK opened) Of course, the ride broke down while we were in the boat for almost 30 minutes. He didn't make it. Luckily we were staying at Old Key West and it didn't take long to get back and get him changed.

I think the OP was talking about someone whos FP time had not yet commenced rather than had been and gone.

The only instance that I wouldn't have a problem with jumping is if a couple of people are meeting their friends or family in line. Otherwise, friendly Disney atmosphere or not, believe that I'm jumping down your throat for it. Luckily, I can't say that there's been an instance where anyone has blatantly jumped in front of me or my group.

I agree with you about letting people catch back up with friends/family, but there are several people here who don't even allow for that under any circumstances.

 I know that I have made some of you mad when I have been the one catching up to my crew in line after stepping out to take a child to the restroom. . . or because I got everyone's fastpass for the next ride while everyone else got in line . . . or because I stayed behind and got ice creams for everyone while the rest went ahead and got in line for the 45 minute wait. I know you don't like me for doing that.

To be honest I really want to smack people like that around silly...

I guess this is where it all starts. Someone rude cuts in line, Someone takes offense, fight ensues and somehow thats Disney's fault and lawsuits are pending...

On a serious note.
Nice to know that they are being sent back and hopefully it will eventually get into their thick heads that they can't do that.
Sadly its very likely that this kind of behavior is only going to continue. People are generally more selfish these days.

Something similar happened to my family and me on a recent trip. We were in line for Splash Mountain over an hour when a storm rolled in. Being frequent Disney goers we weren't in a rush, and being Floridians knew the storm would be done quickly, so we waited. Well of course the line steadily cleared out. So we got almost to the front right away when the ride came back up. We had noticed this group in the fastpass line talking about how they were moving faster than the fastpass line and we tried to get their attention but they just rushed past.
Well when we got up to the front the CM had stopped them and one of the women was cursing up a storm. I have never heard so many F-words in one moment, it was unbelievable. It was bad enough my mom and I waiting next to her said something along the lines of "excuse me ma'am but there are children around", but she just glared at us of course. And I normally ignore rude behavior from other people but I felt so sorry for the poor CM just standing there and taking it, with such a pitiful look on his face screaming for help!
She also said "This is supposed to be the happiest place on Earth!" (with a few extra words that I removed) and the CM told her "Yes, it's supposed to be but it won't be if you don't let it". And my mom and I died laughing as we heard that coming from behind us as we were loading (not to her face, we're not that mean :p). It was sad because the CM was gonna let her through anyways and just told her not to do it again, and she just went livid. We actually saw her later and she was still acting angry so she just might be one of those can't be happy at Disney people.

Not all Disney guests play by the same rules - they'll cheat, swear, throw tantrums just to gain a minor advantage over everyone else - and they aren't happy until they have.

It is a sad reflection on the ways of the world in general

On my last trip a problem with 'jumpers' was caused by the fire exit in the queue for TSM, they got opened many times. People jumped in from outside, and one group skipping an entire section of the queue by walking outside the fire exit then back into the queue later in the line.

I've been to Disney many times in my life, and i'm always amazed by those few people that act like it's an evacuation (in reverse?:ROFLOL:)when trying to get on rides. The amount of grown ups as well that push the little ones out the way to get on things is ridiculous.

I'm very much against queue jumpers. I understand that some people need to use the bathroom and then rejoin their party, but I wouldn't be happy if someone pushed past me because they had been to get ice creams for their party. Get them before you join the queue! It's not a necessity like going to the bathroom is!

Most of the theme parks here in Britain operate a zero policy on queue jumping. One park in particular, Alton Towers, has big signs up at regular intervals stating their definition of queue jumping and "rejoining your group" is one of them. I guess a lot of people take advantage of it and say they are rejoining their group when in reality, they are not!

And the punishment? Removal from the park altogether.

Might sound harsh but it works!

My family and I have an on-going inside joke about how the people who say "Excuse me, my family is up there" while pointing to the front of the line. We always say they're just saying that to cut everyone and whenever we're in line for a while we, jokingly, say we should just start doing that.

We say it as a joke, but I'm sure some people actually do that. Which is pretty sad.

The Six Flags parks have the same exact policy. The problem is enforcing it. I think lately Six Flags has really turned around, but generally, I believe an employee has to witness the incident for anything to be done. What we used to do is if a parent had to leave the line to take their small child to a restroom, if they informed an employee we allowed them to ride. Otherwise, they were considered line jumpers. Generally the most we did was prevent them from riding. Removing from the park can bring legal consequences, so it was only done in extreme circumstances.

She also said "This is supposed to be the happiest place on Earth!"

Isn't Disneyland the Happiest Place on Earth, and WDW the Most Magical Place on Earth? I know it is splitting hairs, but it would have been great if the CM would have told her that.

I generally do not have a problem with people saying that they are going to catch up with their family in a line. The problem is that it is such an easy thing to lie about that.

I'm sorry, I think the only enforceable policy is no exceptions. If you want ice cream, everyone gets it and then gets in line. One child has to use the bathroom, the whole group stops for a bathroom break. Its not my problem that one of the three kids in your group has to use the bathroom and the other members of your group are impatient. They either wait with you, or you all enjoy the ride at different times.

It may sound cold or "un-Disney," but I think it is one of the things with the good honest guests having to suffer for the jerk lying guests.
