Line Cutting

I think that you are throwing this topic off of its intention - we have other threads for those who don't like fastpass to vent about it, it doesn't have to be brought up at every opportunity.

The stroller moms, though, drove me insane. Toddler in tow or no toddler in tow, get on line.

Thanks for the advice, Ron. Before I try to back up my opinion in my next post (which should be my 10th post on this forum) I'll make sure to research the rest of the forum to make sure I'm not going out of bounds. And please don't misread my post, as I said that I am favorable to both FastPass and line holding, when done properly. But both can be misused and comparibly so, so I think my post was appropriate.

I do agree with you on the stroller moms, but since that is off topic for this thread I'll find the appropriate place to have my say. Maybe for my 11th post.

Listen everyone, everybody does it. It's not going to stop. I know that if I had someone in line, I am going to go to where that person is. I am not going to go to the end of the line, especially if the person/people I am with are in line already. I don't care what anyone says, I am going to cut the line. One thing is if you cut without having someone in line, and having someone there.:hammer:
NO EVERYBODY DOESN'T DO IT

That's because most people have their group with them in line, or have never been in that situation. But, I can assure that you would cut in line if someone that was with you, was half way there, closer to the loading platform for the ride. So don't give me that.:hammer:

NO, I would be in line with them , not waiting outside the queue for them to get close to load.

It's not that I am waiting for them to get closer, I could simply be doing something. I could have gone to the rest room, or go get a fast pass. I have a friend who can't be standing for a long period of time because she has a bad knee. There is nothing with her sitting down outside the ride waiting for us to get closer.

But you're contradicting yourself - I DON'T cut in line because I already have my party with me. If I dont, I wait for them (or they wait for me).

So far, it looks like the only people who don't have a problem with cutting in line are the people who are rude enough to do it.

So the rules don't apply to you, right?

You don't have to wait in line like everybody else, do you? You have better things to be doing.

Wow, that's exactly what I was going to write until I just saw your post. The people who don't have a problem with it are the people who are taking advantage of it, while the majority of people in line who aren't cutting have to put up with it and wait that much longer because of it.

There could be numerous reasons as to why I am not in line with my party. I could've been in a ride that the rest of my party didn't want to get on. Once the ride I am in is over, I go meet with them wherever they are at. If they happen to be in line for another ride, there is nothing wrong with me going to where they are. Tell me something STGRhost and unkadog, if that was the situation, would you go where you party is, which is probably close to the loading platform, or stand at the end of the line like a fool, while your party rides?

So you're saying I could have my mom hold our spot in line (because she doesn't want to go on the TTA) at Peter Pan, while me and the 9 other people in my party grab a quick ride on the TTA because that would be better than waiting in line.

Well at least you stick to your opinion, but I'm sure you wouldn't say that if everybody in line had 9 people join them at the last second. Your arguement may be that not everybody does, but that's because most people know that it's wrong, at least in the way you are describing. I understand there are exceptions, but I don't agree with your logic that not standing in line just because you don't feel like it is okay.

I never said anything about not standing in line because I don't feel like it. Where did you get this idea?

when people cut it depends on the attraction to the extent that a CM can do anything about it. Like for instance when I worked in Fantasyland Operations, I had an experience at Pooh, when i was working the control panel a squabble started in the stand-by que. Well some people were saying that people were cutting. Its hard for me at the control panel to deal with any situations, but luckily I cant remember her name but any CM i was working with jumped into the action and told the people who were cutting to go to the back of the line, with a disney smile she had a few words with the cutting people. Another instance i found people cutting and told them they had to go to the end of the line well their next words stunned me when they said, "I dont speak english", well i think even if they cant speak english that they can understand that cutting in line is rude even in thier language

I have done this a few times ether my wife or me would have to get out of line to take my grandson to the bathroom but what we do is if the Que line will pass back by the back of the line we will stand in line until we pass each other and then join up, or we will let other people go in front of us until we can meet up, and I have not had any one give us any problems doing it this way. and when we have a group of people try to get in front of us I will block the line so that they cant. at the the time I was 260 pounds so I could be a perrty good blocker yes they would get mad at me but oh well thats life :fork: since I lost a lot of weight I dont know how good of a blocker I would be now but I will find out in dec. on my next trip to the world

whenever people try to cut past us my family make a human chain so they can't get past. the only time we let them past is if there is a small child with them and if its just the kid and the mum tryin to get past coz then the child might of had to go to the toilet. once on PoC a whole tour group tried to get past us and we refused and they got mad and complained to the cm who told them that they couldnt have one person wait in line for them anyway. We got dirty looks from them all day!

This happened to us on our trip. We were in the County Bounty waiting in the Princess line. We had been there for about 30 mins. when my DD looked up at me and said those words "I have to go to the bathroom". For a brief moment, I wanted to pinch her.:lookaroun J/K We left my DH in line while we politely left the line and briskly walked to the bathroom. We got back and could no longer see him, so I called him on his phone and he said he was in the next group. I felt bad about cutting, so I didn't go, but I did send my DD with the camera. And I waited out on the bench at the exit.

inDisney...................................As for looking like a fool at the end of the line while your party is at the front, I ask you this..............is that the only time during your whole trip that you are going to ride that ride??

I know this sounds silly as I am an overly polite kind of guy
but when I took my small children to WDW and one had to go to the bathroom, I would always ask the person behind me (and loud enough for everyone to hear) "Do you mind if I take my daughter to the bathroom and then come back in line?"

It's like inviting all your neighbors to a party even though you know they aren't going to show up. They won't call the police about the loud noise because they were invited and would feel bad.

If you are polite and explain the situation no one will complain.

Never had anyone say anything to me or my wife when we asked politely.

Then again, I never did this with a large group nor would I tolerate it if it happened to me. There is differance between one family member going to the bathroom and holding a place for a large group who is on another attraction.

Some people just don't get it.:brick:
