After watching the preview... looks enjoyable enough. For some reason, I always had the impression that the characters lived on one of the less-populated islands, but it looks like this film is placing them definitively on Oahu. Given Disney's penchant for cross-promotion, what are the chances that Nani and David work at Aulani in this version?

I'm surprised they didn't get Ving Rhames to reprise his role. Unless they're going for a more slap-sticky version of the character, he still has the perfect look for Cobra Bubbles.
nothing against mr vance, but i was hoping to see rhames return too

You don’t need a browser extension to do Likes and Dislikes on YouTube. It’s a button right under the video.
The browser extension just shows the dislikes that YouTube hides on default. YouTube still counts the dislikes. It shows the dislikes for all videos not just Snow White trailers. It's a flag in the javascript, you can see it if you debug the page.
There’s a button to dislike a video, yes. But YouTube hides the number of dislikes on a video now. Nobody except the publisher of the video can see the true dislike count.

The figures @Phroobar provided are merely estimates provided by a browser extension. The browser extension (which is installed by a relatively small percentage of YouTube users) uses a simple formula to estimate the number of dislikes on a video. The browser extension shows users the dislike estimate but it also tracks the selections of those that have the browser extension installed, which is how it estimates the number of dislikes.

Specifically, the formula is:

Dislike Estimate = (Browser extension user dislike count/browser extension user like count) x actual like count

As you can see, the small percentage of YouTube users that have installed the extension can easily bias the estimate as those users are not necessarily a representative sample of the YouTube user base.

I have a newfound excitement about current kid’s movies since my son is finally getting into seeing movies at the theater. I’m pretty excited about this one and it looks to be crushing it in presales. Typically I could take or leave the live action movies but I want to see this one for the adorable Stitch factor.

Going back to the comment about Aulani...of all of the most beautiful places in Hawaii why would you choose to vacation there. The waterway is man made. Why not the Grand Hyatt Kauai or somewhere comparable...

So I’m guilty of drooling over the idea of an Aulani vacation. For one, with DVC rental points it’s actually a surprisingly affordable option (relatively speaking) for what you get. For another, Joe Rohde helped design it and did put a lot of thought into incorporating real elements of Hawaiian culture throughout. Last but not least is the Disney element for those of us who just love that kind of thing.

I doubt it, would be way too jarring.

As for Mr. Bubbles, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a question of money. Probably hired the new guy cheaper than the old one wanted to get (if he wanted to do it at all).

I actually think it comes down to scheduling. Ving Rhames was still in the middle of filming Part 2 of MI: Dead Reckoning when Lilo and Stitch started filming in early 2024 due to the delays from the 2023 strike. I'm sure if scheduling would have worked out Disney would have had him reprise his role. And for what its worth he may still be in the movie as a cameo, as many of the original voice cast are said to be in the movie in cameos.

I'm more of a big fan of his work on Animal Kingdom to be honest. On a different note, I'm really looking forward to this movie. Hawaiian Roller Coaster is one of my favorite songs. XM recently played a new exclusive cut recently of the song for new movie. My mother really turned me on to the music of Elvis in addition. And, I've further visited in Hawaii the ruins of the Coco Palms where Elvis and the rat pack played in Kaua and filmed Blue Hawaii. Sadly it was destroyed by a tsunami. And, the movie tour was incredible there too. And, the helicopter ride was the best. It had just rained and there were rainbows everywhere and the waterfalls the the whole Jurassic Park world were incredible! I do have a soundtrack for Aulani, where all of the songs are in the Hawaiian native tongue. So Beautiful! They're all Disney covers but Hawaiianfied! I've suggested to the wonderful people at Disney that it may be fun for them to play this album for the kids at the Beach/Yacht because they often give prizes to them. They're usually at the neighboring part of the pool while my wife and I are at Stormalong.

Tonight on American Idol..part 2 of Disney night..they're going to feature the new Hawaiian Rollercoaster song...they just played it on XM. my parents played game group with Ryan Seacrest's parents and he seems like such a wonderful person from what they've said...
