Yeah, the second I read the patent I knew this was going to be a very flimsy, only look, no touch saber. There are going to be very strict areas in which you will view this saber on starcruiser - and even then, if they do show it, they will have to do some slight-of-hand to trade them for the classic hard plastic blades for any sort of dueling between the stunt performers.Light tape measure? Nah. More fragile than the 1977 spinning version.
Give this saber to a kid and they swing it? That blade will fall apart which is no good for theming. Everyone knows come 2022 we are going to have a wonderful selection of "Disney Real Lightsaber FAIL" videos on YouTube of some poor actors mishandling the props.
