Lights, Motors, Action! on its way out soon?

I think it's fairly obvious that Georgia-Pacific left Disney, not the other way around.

Koch Industries' Georgia-Pacific division got their decades worth of sponsorship of minor attractions and locations, and they are moving on from a marketing perspective. If Georgia-Pacific still wanted to pay to have Brawny, Sparkle and Dixie plastered on random theme park locations (where it usually had NOTHING to do with the plotline or theme), Disney would have been happy to take another decade's worth of money from them.

Since they (Koch Industries) own virtually every brand of TP and paper towel they don't really have to advertise much because no matter what you purchase you are buying from them.

Er, okay, to be precise, they've announced a huge Star Wars expansion in all Disney parks, and given that DHS is their movie-tie-in park with Star Tours already in place as well as the home of Star Wars Weekends and the Training Academy, and tons of room for Star Wars stuff, it's kind of a given that it's going there.

Making assumptions about what is going to go there is a lot different then it being announced. I am hoping we get some decent new Star Wars content in DHS but at this point it's all just talk.

That's the truth. I work in purchasing for chemicals and I buy bulk tankers from companies they own and they are the parent company.

The Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland's Critter Country reopened this week after a five month long refurbishment (they do those in Disneyland).

It's no longer "Hosted by Dixie", a Georgia-Pacific brand of paper cups. It's now just the Hungry Bear Restaurant, hosted by no one in particular. For the last decade this entry marquee had a little sign hanging beneath it touting that it was "Hosted by Dixie". No longer.

The removal of all Georgia-Pacific sponsorships of various brands at various locations in all American Disney theme parks will continue through this spring.

Agreed, especially with all of the other things that have been closed. I initially thought that they would rapidly add TSPL within a year or so (say, late 2015) and then they would close LMA once TSPL was up and running. Then I envisioned that the LMA plot + Catastrophe Canyon would be used for an east coast version of Cars Land.
But with how slowly any work on the old Backlot Tour footprint, I'm skeptical of TSPL being opened any time soon.

It's tough to imagine them closing LMA without adding something, but this is TDO. They don't seem to care if a park can't actually handle the daily number of visitors effectively.
Only that the guests show up and use that ticket even if they leave a half hour later in disgust

No they have NOT announced a SW expansion, All Iger said was that there would be a presence in all the parks. This to me says merchandise and meet-n-gropes. Cheap and profitable

Personally I'd love to see something amazing but this is today's Disney more concerned with stock price than guest experience so my expectations are low and Disney will probably undershoot those

No, i really think Disney has finally taken offense to Harry plopper being considered the gold standard. I expect big things from avatar and whatever it is we are going to get at the park yet to be renamed Star Wars or no Star Wars.

Does it ever get old typing the exact same comment every single day?

I get the critique but seems like it's all you ever add to the conversation.

It is now up to Disney to prove him wrong ... the critique is valid so long Bob Iger and Tom Staggs are the main people...
