Lightning Lane Premier Pass

You couldn't pay me to ride Navi. Once in my life was enough. I don't know when you are going but even with moderate crowds I've rarely seen EE be more than 40 minutes standby. Safari tends to either be very low wait or very long wait when I'm there.
Lol im sure there’s a price. But with that said Navi is such a let down and there’s only one good animatronic and I’ve been on it when it wasn’t working and we just got a screen! The rides so short and the line gets insanely long and for what? A subpar boat ride that is a few minutes long? Such a waste

From some people on the ground it seems like things have been more crowded now than in the past - wondering if a lot of people shifted trips to be earlier in December b/c of how crowded it usually in right at Christmas/week b/w Christmas and New Years
It could also be how the fact that there was less than a year between when people could buy annual passes/were told they can buy them on April 2023 and thus AP black out days mattered less when book but now people with Lower tier annual passes were more strategic. Maybe

lol they can do that? Isn’t there like a pretty big difference between the two types since one can show up to passes whenever and the other is more specific time oriented

Sure. They probably also realized the high demand of premier to already be selling out and shifted allocation to make more money.

It's all statistics.

For example let's take Jungle cruise. It is a high demand, low-capacity ride at either the "start" or "end" of many people's loops. It is also pretty close to the parade route They probably also have data that says LLPP in general show up at the park at a specific time. Numbers below are made up, but I'm sure Disney has something very similar for every ride. Sell 100 extra LLPP, take the % below and pull them from the LLMP/LLSP availability.

For example:
Time% of LLPP guests riding JC
8-9am (park open)5%
10-11am20%
11-12pm18%
12-1pm10%
1-2pm10%
2-3pm (Parade time)2%
3-4pm15%
5-6pm10%
7-8pm5%
8-9pm (fireworks time)2%
10-11pm3%

I actually like Navi, I find it calming and love the small details in it (like the little lizard creatures on the leaves above you) and the progression of starting from smaller creatures being called and then larger, and larger, until the Navi join in as well

BUT the wait is not worth it - if 15ish minutes then it is great, but not worth the 40+ it often has

Awe yea that makes sense they have projections that just keep getting even more accurate and they probably have them down to the hotels and ages of the people too!

My opinion of it being a let down is based on the wait times it has. I agree it’s calming and pleasant, just not worth the crazy 60+ minute waits it has. So we agree

It is possible, thanksgiving weeks wait times were that bad and trended downward from previous years. I think people keep forgetting that April 2023 was the first time people could purchase annual passes (besides the pixie pass) in years. A lot of people then went a lot to get their moneys worth and many have let them lapse plus revenge travels is pretty much over now. I don’t think we will see record crowds. Plus if you look at the hotels there is still a lot of availability for the coming weeks.

Edit: I forgot to add most locals are blacked out of the parks during that time!
You are correct

And it’s all bad management tactics
Dec 22 has gone back to available. I think this is the first time I have seen a LLP sell out and then go back on sale.
…which would indicate it’s crap…as are all sellouts

Oh NO! The artificial scarcity provided by arbitrarily limiting supply to raise the price of LLP is not working. There's only one thing we can do to fix this!
i mean seriously emperors new groove GIF

I've done WDW for every major holiday, except Jersey week, this year and it has been dead. Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving have all been abnormally bellow normal.

For Thanksgiving 2024, I had no problem booking a last minute Thanksgiving trip with an AP discount rate, I had no problem booking ADRs for basically any TS restaurant, and I had no need to use MPLL, SPLL, LLP because the wait times were unremarkable.

Josh should be wetting his two sizes to small skinny jeans on this one.

That’s good to hear. What about the holidays prior to April 2024 when lots of annual passes were set to lapse. Did you notice any difference around then?

As of last night, there was availability at every on-property, non-DVC Disney resort for 12/22-12/28. Every. Single. One.
