couldnt agree more....this system is so flawed is so many ways i dont think it can be fixed....
I think they need to completely scrap it and start over
I sure hope some major changes are implemented before we go back in a few years

Why is that so difficult? You are picking one attraction. When the LL+ selection is done, you also have grace periods around your selected time. If things become a conflict, you decide which to keep.. probably the LL+

Why do you stress about something you have no control over and no way to know how it will go? You should just ignore it completely and deal with the situation you get when it actually happens.
What happens when I get up at 7am, book SDD for my first Genie+, have 10:20am on my phone and by the time I hit enter it gives me 6:20pm when I have a 5:50pm reservation for the 8 of us at Topolinos?

Then i go to buy ILL for ROTR 20 seconds later and it's sold out?

Now what do you do smart guy?

Right now this is the lightning lane line for FOTLK. It goes on for about another mile….

can’t say this system is working to well but to me this makes 0 sense

Id say the opposite...FP+ was brilliant...it just needs to be charged at $50 per person per day..THEN the number of users will be half (or less) and therefore the times and rides available with improve over the previous FP+
I think we are saying the same thing............

Paper FP was broken, thats why they changed it to FP+, which i loved

I agree 100% that they should just go back to FP+ and charge for it

this has nothing to do with the discussion being quoted.

the discussion was about stressing what to pick when you don’t know the ILL times.

you can’t sweat what you can’t control.

I refreshed from 10.55 to 11.10.....I had checked at 10.50 and there were none left anyway.

I'm not picking at you, but could you not have tried when the park opened at 10am (I'm assuming you are off-site)?
Unfortunately when it seems like these are going so quickly, got to be on it right away.

Sorry you couldn't ride it! :(

If you don't know at park open what LL+ you can get, how can you book a relevant G+ reservation around it?

You are trying to optimize and stressing over not getting ‘the most’

Why would you bother rope dropping if not already committing that time to a standby line? You know you are trying to use that window … so if you book genie+ in that slot you are already gambling.

You gotta decide whst is more valuable to you… getting a earlier next genie+ selection time window or trying to use a short standby. I wouldn’t be trying to take genie+ times in the first hour of park opening for this reason.

and ILL is a wildcard… but one you have no control over. So you can’t sweat it in your 7am choices… only adapt when the ILL option is presented.

FP+ and G+ for shows like Lion King work by allocating certain sections to just those people, and others for "standby". It used to be one of my choices in the FP+ days, but even then I could tell it wasn't needed or necessary. It was more a way to burn through the initial three to get to the rolling one for the afternoon - if there was anything left that it would be useful on.

I walked right up and got a seat via the regular line last week, FYI.

You make one choice once at the beginning of the day, with all of the relevant context of what’s actually happening that day (what the weather is, which park you actually feel like going to, etc.).
Not one word of your comment is true

First of all, at 7am you have to book your first Genie+ and 2 ILL's. If my math is right, that's 3 selections vs. the 1 that you claim.......Are their any first grade math teachers that can verify if my math is correct and James math is wrong?

Next, you have to have a park pass and they were completely sold out before Thanksgiving week, Christmas week and any other busy time so you already have to know what park you are going to be in at least a month in advance

Finally, the weather is irrelevant. When I go on vacation with my family and do 7 nights and buy 6 day park hopper ticket, I have already paid and have to use my ticket or lose it...........

Apologies, I’m not factoring in ILL because, personally, I will never use it. Perhaps I should have clarified that. But weather is most certainly relevant, especially with park hopper.
