There only option is to build more capacity as they maintain flat attendance
Building more capacity is the solution to improve the guest experience, but TWDC simply doesn't want to spend money on this.

The company already regrets spending money on TRON in the MK and it's not even finished yet. Personally, I think it's a GREAT addition and am looking forward to riding it someday.

Besides, folks are still showing up and paying, so why should they add capacity.

The biggest myth that Disney fans propagate…and unfortunately the business believes it…is that there is an unlimited supply of customers.

There is not…and it will be the biggest myth of the Iger era(s)

The myth has yet to be busted and I don’t see any indications it will be busted.

As is always said, time will tell.

Disney customers have always been carefully cultivated…it takes decades to “lock someone in”…

The parks customers are a bit “easier” because you can hook them faster…but that also means an overpriced, chaotic mess of a trip can turn to fickle fast.

What you see in parks was grown in the 1980s-2000s period. The “ripples” from that wave. The next wave is not a tsunami.

Watch it play…my book on it should be released by 2028 👍🏻

In my opinion, even prior to pandemic, summertime was slowing down, mostly because of the heat and rain.
I observed that…

I’d travel more willingly holidays, spring break, and summer over October any time…because some of the old crowd control mechanisms are still in place at those times over the “off season” with the same crowds.

Big dif when the magic kingdom is open at 11 pm everyday as opposed to 7 pm for stupidity

For my family it makes no sense to go south in the summer when we have warm weather here. Its also when the parks here are open. Our usual trip to Florida is February to get away from the winter cold.

That tends to be crushed/uncomfortable now…which is why I no longer do it.

Here’s summer for me: 95 there or 91 at home…this Rock is over cooked all over.

And since when do Canadians fear winter?

They’re gonna make you move to Buffalo or Grand Rapids, Michigan soon and seize your passport with that attitude

I don't fear winter. We just like a break from it and find it's cheaper to go to Florida then.

Cheaper? Yes

More comfortable in wdw? I’d argue the latter.

I don’t think I’ll ever return in February after going in 2018…it was mobbed and they did nothing to adjust to it.

Bad management is standard now

Last time we were in Florida we did MK one day. The rest we did Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, and Gator land

The biggest Disney sin is that they have/had Walts huge gift of SPACE!!!! Something Disneyland never will have, and Walt himself said it. They have squandered most of it. Yes they built epcot but again that was a Walt Roy design. Animal Kingdom is really the only park they have built since wdw/epcot. Not counting the waterparks

The key to going in February is

That the only winter slow period is the week after MLK through the week before Presidents Day Weekend. Federal holiday weeks are no bueno.
