I hope they raise the price to three digits it will do two things:

1. Decrease the people buying it meaning faster stand by lines as there will be less people in LL

2. Decrease the people buying it making it very worthwhile for the people who do,

Why hope for Disney to be further rewarded for bad decisions? Why would Disney undercut their actual line skipping service?

Because it would be a better experience for all guests. And if you make it park specific and only 1 time ride you don’t undercut it.
No configuration of a system where you need more of something that you don’t have enough of is ever going to somehow give you enough. It’s just not and the constant attempts to try and make it happen are wry much why the present situation exists. It’s always going to eventually exist so long as the root issue remains.

& create even worse standby lines for majority of guests….

How so?!? Standby lines will only be longer as less people would be using long lines. They simply dont have the capacity to deal with the crowds they have nowadays

Unlike most of you I was a ok with the no cut the line status for a few years ago, I also traveled at the tail end of it (when more people were coming) having a few 60+ min waits in exchange for rides like HM, PotC, Space, BTMRR, SSE, Soarin, MMRR, TSMM, RnRRC, Dino, and Everest having 30ish min waits.

If fewer people use it, that means more LL reservations would be available all day long, essentially turning the service into a Universal Express pass.

That would then become extremely attractive to people, making more people use the service and ending up right back where we are now.

Not if they also cap the amount available.

If they go to three digits, they better get rid of this return time cr@p and do it like Universal express pass.

& what happens to stand by lines? Noone wants to answer this… do they magically disappear bc when you price out majority of Genie users where do they end up? Stand by lines. Again this is nothing more than a shell game they cant fix unless you add hours capacity & more things to do around the parks….

I do have an answer. They don't disappear. I get waiting in long lines is not an option for everyone. Everyone keeps making it out that Disney is the only park in the entire world that has long lines. Hate to break it to you most parks have 2 hour waits for their top rides.

Adding capacity would help a lot but at the same there will never be enough capacity for everyone to have Genie+ or whatever system they want to use. It's the main reason why every other park limits it. If everyone has FP nobody has FP

So whats your answer? Im not saying Disney is only park with lines but i will say this other parks do NOT have 2 hour waits for headliners are most days & they certainly dont have 30-45-60 minute waits for a spinner either. Same way everyone keeps insisting Disney us the only “expensive” vacation destination.

To be honest there is no solution to not waiting in lines. It's part of going to a theme park.

Parks like Cedar Point do have close to 2 hr waits daily for their top coasters. A 30 minute wait is average for a lot of places.

Now I remember why we never went there all that much.
