LL is the queue, which used to be called the Fastpass queue.

Previously, to use the Fastpass queue, you used FP+ and arranged a time slot.

Going forward, you arrange with Disney Genie+ (DG+) to access a LL.

OR... you can simply purchase access to Individual Attraction Selections (IAS) which is comprised of 2 top tier rides in each park.
Yeah. I understood how the system worked but I just hadn't heard part of it called IAS. I was probably too focused on how much this will cost us.

I know others have probably explained it but I haven't seen it. It's hard to keep up with the information when I leave the thread for 30 minutes and come back to find 100 new pages. Thanks for explaining it though.
No no, sorry, I said that bc @MisterPenguin answered your question before I got a chance. So I was really acknowledging that my response was redundant, but I still wanted to take part in the coversation.

That's EXACTLY what I'm worried about. It sounds like that because that's the case. Its confirmed. We know it already. Genie + rides are always first/next available. If they limit the availability to certain time slot windows then I could be fine. I do not know. And yeah, I probably should not worry until we see it all play out. But it is something to keep in the back of your head.l as a concern.

If I can get those good choices for 11am or noon comfortably I'm a happy camper. If its 8 or 9am or nothing because all the other slots booked real quick at 7am when everyone made their choices some people (the late park people) will not be happy.
If I were building the interface I'd just show you the next available time for that ride. Then when you click it you can choose from what time slots are available. Adding in a bunch of boxes you can swipe in each row starts adding to design issues with different size screens and being able to navigate properly with cracked phones.

You will only be able to select the next available time slot for a given attraction. You will be able to cancel a selection if desired and then rebook another attraction for its next available time slot.
Have you gotten some information/clarification on this point? The available video and information given seem lacking on the specifics for G+ selections and pricing for [IAS].

So what do resort guests get? Access to Tier 1 earlier?

Yes. And they will also be able to purchase Genie + in advance for length of stay. Which some would argue is not an advantage because you have to buy it for everyday you have a park ticket. But that is just buying the product, the choice of rides still start at 7 AM the day of.

Yes. 7 AM IAS purchase for resort guests. Everyone else has to wait for the park to open for IAS.

I am hoping that everyone can buy Genie+ in advance (like a hopper). I think they said that if you want to add it for one day, you can add it as of Midnight before you go. For my 3 day trips I would want it for all 3 days.

If this ends up being the case, then yes, that is better. But the way it was announced, only the IAS rides allow you to pick a time.

There were many times I was juggling FP+ slots v. restaurant ADRs.

The more in-demand rides only had a few slots available which conflicted with other FP+s and ADRs. Especially if you would occasionally refresh and an opening for Space Mountain would appear, but it was the same time as an ADR.

If you know your ADRs, then you just refrain from grabbing a DG+LLpass at that time and look at the available times for other rides. OR... you look to see if you can change your ADR.
That's where I'm hoping they incorporate any existing ADRs and the system automatically checks times you will be available.

It's possible all the Maxpass style (not-IAS) selections for 7DMT will be gone for the day at 7:00:08 am. A lot depends on how this all works in practice. They may have to limit you to the next couple hours as someone just said, or drop additional passes throughout the day. I predict drops, and refresh refresh refresh.

7DMT is going to be a IAS ride. Along with Space Mountain at MK.

If I recall correctly, didn't MDE raise a flag if you have an ADR that might conflict with a FP+ reservation? Same thing could be done here, since Genie's inside MDE.

And apparently join the TS wait list as well. I know last year they had tested that at some resort restaurants, but didn't hear much else about it.
That sounds somewhat like priority seating…the greatest system wdw ever had…and they made tons using it…

but Bob killed it for cost accounting.

This would be a net gain IF they went back to full staffing…but I see no way they do that

You know…I can’t quite remember?

it would block duplicate fastpasses and alert you if you had dining conflicts…but did it cross over?

It did. Anything you had reserved it did not allow you to, it raised a flag. It also did the same if you picked a FP that is within the window of another. But you would have to manually change or adjust the conflict like the ADR or other Fastpass if you so chose.

So please forgive my ignorance here I literally do not have a week to go back through all of the posts to try to find this information and a search function does no good on this.
If I purchased the IAS for each park for four people each day then how would that work? Let's just say they are going to charge an extra $24 for the IAS. Is that $24 for each of those two top Tier 1 attractions? Or is it $24 for both?

We're currently trying to determine which of our limbs we need to sell in order to afford all this.

You can choose up to 2 a day (there will only be 2 in each park). They would be separate purchases. IF the high end is $24 dollars per person, then that's what you'd pay for the ride. IF you want to actually buy the 2nd one the same day its another $24 for person.
