I doubt it. Money talks w Disney and genie sales would drop. And not just a little. They would drop a lot.I didn’t like it either but an inferior system is coming.

IMO that would be a good thing. Less people buying it makes it work better.I doubt it. Money talks w Disney and genie sales would drop. And not just a little. They would drop a lot.
Yeah but Disneys not in the business of giving up money.IMO that would be a good thing. Less people buying it makes it work better.
No but they could raise the price to make up for it. It doesn't really matter to me cause I hate all these systems equally. I don't want to plan what I am going to ride when.Yeah but Disneys not in the business of giving up money.
Doesn’t work that way unfortunately. No but they could raise the price to make up for it. It doesn't really matter to me cause I hate all these systems equally. I don't want to plan what I am going to ride when.
I know. All I want is something simple. I hate not just the booking a ride but also all these rules that go with it.Doesn’t work that way unfortunately.
I am the one screaming about 7am. And pre booking is 100% necessary. But not at the expense of tiers.
It won’t work. People won’t pay for it. There’s no value in it at all. Genie sales will drop and they will have to change it again.
There’s no reason that they can’t just modify the current system allowing resort guests to book their first ride and buy 2 ILLs. Solves everyone’s problems
It makes sense to do it that way so it leaves availability for guests that buy Genie+ day ofTier system will be just for the pre-booking if there is any.

The easiest solution is to only allow 1 LL to be pre-booked per day. Gets rid of the 7am problem but also keeps the system the same. They could just only allocate a portion the prebooking and save some for day of
I would prefer they do that and only 1 LL done for prebooking vs 3 with tiers
They can basically have 3 tiers. ILL$ are the old Tier 1, the old Tier 2 rides are the new Tier 1 rides, and there are Tier 2 rides that basically never need a fastpass (shows at HS, Mickey’s Philharmagic at MK, etc.). It’ll be awful but that’s what’s being reported. How can they do Tiers with ILL's? They would have to eliminate them and theres no way thats happening
Unfortunately that’s not what’s being reported. I do wonder when in 2024 they are going to implement this. It’s going to be December next week so I can’t imagine this is something they’re implementing in January…The easiest solution is to only allow 1 LL to be pre-booked per day. That’s something I don’t think they are factoring in. I know of and have seen many numerous first time families go and become sooo frustrated with everything, they don’t plan to come back. Ever. Before people got hooked and were frequent return guests, bought into DVC, etc but I don’t think that percentage will be the same going forward.Imagine being a first time guest and trying to figure this out…yikes.

Disney did say the changes were going to happen in January. You figure they would announce something soon.Nothing is being reported it's just rumors and hearsay at this point.
I thought they said “next year” which could mean anythingDisney did say the changes were going to happen in January. You figure they would announce something soon.
My guess is they haven't figured out what the plan is yet. Whatever they do I'm it will end up more complicatedI thought they said “next year” which could mean anything

We have heard from guests that they would like ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit, and we want you to know we are working on ways guests may do this for visits in 2024. Our goal is to give you the opportunity to spend less time planning in the park and more time enjoying your visit with friends and family. While we are not yet able to share specific details, we look forward to sharing more information at a later date.
My guess it will be 7 days prior to your visit. If it really was going to be any longer they would start talking about it now. They officially said, emphasis mine:
Can be 60 days prior or 7 days prior starting on Dec 30th 2024 for all we know.
