I continue to drag my Keuirg with me every time. To this day, my morning cup of Kahlua coffee reminds me of every day at Disney.
oh dear! that is a loooong way away! I don't think I'd be willing to drive that far, even for good coffee We mainly buy it to make at home. Besides selling it in the DD stores, around here (NC) it's also available in some grocery stores. Even if you didn't like it, that would cost less than the gas for round trip....unless you're just looking for a little road trip!
Ok, we tried the new coffee at the food courts....no thanks. Good thing I brought a large box of Nescafe singles. Can't help it, I like the stuff. (I'm sure some people are rolling their eyes right now)
Most big grocery stores sell DD coffee. I love Starbucks but DD is a much smoother coffee. We too, found that the Joffrey's had a "burned" taste. Yuk. I hear alot about the Dunkin Donuts coffee, and I'm going to have to try some. Our nearest Dunkin Donuts is about 35 miles away...

For those that find Starbucks too bitter, try their lightest blends. They're not so sharp.
I'm with you. I won't drink Starbucks dark/bold blends. Medium roasts I add extra Splenda & milk to cut the bitter. I think it's important to understand how to counter bitterness when venturing into coffee. Sweet counters bitter. So if a cup has too much bitter bite add more sweet then smooth it with cream or milk. My youngest son is always amazed how I can make every cup I hand him, hot or cold, regardless of blend taste perfect. It's all in understanding how to counter the undesirable traits to get the taste where you like it. Dunkin is a great coffee because it's hard to mess it up. It's smooth from the onset. I love the mint mocha they do around the holidays. I always stock pile it. It has the hints of the flavors without distracting. My dad, who only drinks straight black bitter coffee, even enjoys it. Oh! And I've learned enough about my palate to know any flavor with the word "spice" in it will nauseate me. Everyone goes so nutters over pumpkin spice. Holy crap, that stuff makes me sick. Even worse?! Starbucks Christmas blend. They do it every year but that stuff is disgusting.I know Target carries DD coffee and Sam's Club sells it too in a larger bag that lasts about a month. DD is my coffee of choice at home, not sharp or bitter. Starbucks Blonde is the most tolerable for me. Frankly I don't care for Starbucks basic cups of coffee. Now their caramel latte's and cafe mocha, yummy.

Another thing non-Starbucks regulars might not know is if what's currently brewed and available doesn't suit you, you can request a different blend. They will French press you a cup at no additional charge (at least that's how it used to be). Be careful with the French press, tho. If you aren't accustomed to it it could bite you in the end. Literally. I've been a coffee drinker my whole life. Not exaggerating. My mom would put a little coffee and sugar in a bottle of milk and I remember drinking this as a toddler. I can't drink French press. The process leaves the oils & acid at a level my stomach rejects every time. Tastes heavenly but turns my innards out. If you've never had French press trying it at a theme park may be risky business.
I hear ya. So many in my mom's family drink coffee around the clock. Literally. It's part of what a family does sometimes. I do try to discourage all caffeine after lunch at home with my family. Just because insomnia is such a problem for 3 out of 4 of us. But there's decaf and other things.lol. My Gran lived in the house next to ours when we lived in Chicago till I was about 6 years old. (Mom had enough of MIL we moved far) I digress, ooops, but everyday I'd go over to Gran's and we would have coffee after nap time was over. (Mom wondered why I was a night owl.) Gran would put in a scoop of sugar and half coffee and half, half cream. This had to start before I was 2 years old.

Shut up! I'll be 40 this year. Sleep is a toss up. I hit the moonshine jars tonight since I'm restarting the diet tomorrow. Maybe I'll go hit the jar for a few more sips then try for sleep. LOL! But seriously, I remember as a kid laying awake all night for maaaaany nights. Insomnia is a lifelong battle. I don't like feeling this way. The pediatrician takes a more laid-back approach with the boys. Plus, homeschooling doesn't dictate normal hours. My youngest almost always logs his course work between midnight & 3 a.m. LOL!And here I am, still up, still awake but tired. I actually stop drinking coffee by early afternoon and flip to decaf or tea. But until I hit 40 I'd be still taking a hot cup to bed with me, I have the coolest headboard for stuff like this. Lucky. It never phased me at all. Then there was 40.

Community coffee is the best! Coffee previously served at Disney was a bit hard to swallow for me. Curious to taste the new one. While I respect everyone's choice, I must say that what was previously served in the parks was horrible. Maybe it's just because I'm so spoiled with outstanding coffee being where I live & travel. Community & French Market Coffee in Louisiana and that rich coffee of South America have gotten me very spoiled for good coffee.
had to laugh at this. I asked my wife if she wanted to do the same thing. we were there last October, & she hated joffrey's. I thought it was too bitter, but need that little morning fix.I continue to drag my Keuirg with me every time. To this day, my morning cup of Kahlua coffee reminds me of every day at Disney.
