I know it's been over 2 years since LTT stopped having a character meal. I was just wondering who amongst us (if any) have been there since the change and what they thought of it? We'll be traveling with 2 kids, so I suspect we'll be doing more character meals than anything else, but without the characters it seems that this has become one of the less expensive pay-one-price dinners on property (buffet or family style). My opinion, as I remember it (and I'm old so who knows what THAT is worth?) was that the food was fine, not awesome, but it was a good place for character interaction back in the day. It was also not uncommon to have to wait even later than your ADRs before you got seated. Can anyone say what it's like now? Worth the trip? Still packed to the gills?

I can only attest to the quality of the lunch menu, as I never dine there for dinner. The food is always consistently "OK", which is standard at WDW, in my opinion. The service is often rushed, but the overall ambiance and experience is pleasant. Sorry, but I'm ignorant as to the whole dinner scene.

Lunch and dinner are just the same as it was before the characters left. Nothing has really changed except now there are no characters. You still have the great staff, good to great food, wonderful atmosphere, and you even still get to watch and listen to a family fidget and sigh loudly and give the staff dagger stares because how dare they not get seated before you with your ADRs? LOL

Really, nothing has changed except the character part of it.

We had it this past August after skipping it for a few years. We loved it. The food was great. It will be on our list for the next time to we go.

We had an early dinner there 8/30 of this year. I made an ADR for 415 and were seated right away as they were just re-opening from the lunch/dinner transition. Food was ok...average for table service WDW. Seemed to be processed turkey and stuffing but real mashed potatoes and veggies. Good value as others have pointed out. The desert was very good and included in the pay-one-price-all-you-eat deal. I'd go back again but wouldn't rate it a must see.

We eat lunch there on most visits and find the food and service to be quite good, kind of like a Bob Evans (if you're familiar with them).

I really enjoy this resturant, yes the food isnt signiture quality but I wouldnt expect it here. For some reason the service here is above average. The mashed potatoes are REAL mashed potatoes. The veggies are good and the desert delish! It is all you can enjoy and find it a good value.I think if you put it inpersective and how many people they actually serve the quality of the food is quite good. It is a decent "park resturant".

lunch menu is lunch food with a colonial twist. not just the same old club or burgers. ate there for lunch on both summer trips. as far as dinner goes, its one of my favorites. love it. the only down side to eating here is we often have to wait a bit even with adrs. but the kids love coloring the pictures while we wait. i never have a problem eating here.

We ate there for the first time last month and we thought it was pretty good. You definitely get your fill since it's family style and the food was actually pretty good (we went for dinner obviously). The Mac & Cheese was good and cheesy. The carrots were sweet and tender. The pork and beef were my absolute favorite. I asked for more of those two and contemplated asking for thirds. The dessert was good and was a nice finish to the meal. I wouldn't say that it compares to any steakhouse on property but it was still a pretty good meal and not extremely over priced. Here are some pics!

We had dinner at LTT in 11/2010 and it was our least favorite meal of the trip. They seated us directly in the middle of the room at a table that was so small that we had to move everything (salt/pepper/dessert teasers/etc) to the floor so that we had enough room for the serving platters, our plates and drinks. The kicker was that our server took a break (or got off work maybe?) half way through the meal and nobody was assigned to our table after that. We had to go to the check in desk to pay the bill.

The girl at the front desk of the restaurant didn't seem all that surprised when we explained what had happened. *shrug* It was the one and only time I didn't leave a tip on a meal.

The food was OK to good quality. If you have ever been to a Golden Coral, then it tasted very similar to that.
