It won't be drained until the riverboat is removed, which won't be soon. She was, however painted a little bit ago, so there is some progress.

As of the first week of May, it was no longer behind BTM.

So have people seen it's progress in dry dock if that's where I'm assuming that it is? Is the dry dock an area visible to guests from anywhere?

If you check the operational updates at Disneyworld.com regularly like me, you will see that the Liberty Bell will be returning Sept 19th!!! YAY! I will be down there Sept 24th to Oct 2nd, so I wll get to ride! (finally)

I read somewhere that while the boat was in dry-dock the river would be drained for cleaning and maintenance. Apparently, the river had not been drained in quite sometime.

Then the Tom Sawyer Island will be shut down for that time too... I don't remember seeing a scheduled closing of that attraction also.

When I was reading about the new Pirate & Princess Party on this site, I noticed that it mentioned a Legend of the Jolly Roger Haunted Riverboat Ride (see this post: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showpost.php?p=1729649&postcount=6). I assume from that that the riverboat will be operational by Jan. 22 for the first party. Is it confirmed that the riverboat won't be back in September as was originally reported?

i havn't seen it mentioned yet, but there is a construction wall up around the dock area, looks like they are finally working on it's landing dock at least.
