I am working a shoot for a PBS Christmas Special, a portion of which is to be filmed in WDW in October for December tv broadcast --One of the shots was to include the riverboat and the permit to shoot was returned with a caveat that the riverboat would be unavailable in October. I think that is pretty good confirmation that it will not be up and running anytime soon.

OK. I forgot to update here.

Another update, they are advertising the Riverboat Dance Cruise for Grad Nite 2007 (in April 07), so it should be up and running by then, but who knows. They had also advertised this cruise for Grad Nite 2006, which did not happen.

I personally am hoping that theOperational Updates page on the official Disney site is correct in that it says the Liberty Belle will return to service on 9/07/06. Maggie

Is there something special on the Liberty Belle during MNSSHP?? For some reason I thought I had heard that, but I'm not sure... We went to the party last year, but obviously the Liberty Belle was down then, so if there usually was something on it, we wouldn't have known.
We're going again this year on Sept. 29th... Just wondering what I should maybe be looking forward to.

I rode the train at the Magic Kingdom today and saw the Liberty Belle parked back at the "wet dock" anyone know when she was moved and if there is a chance she will be back in service sooner the originally stated.
it's a storytelling cruise... pretty fun. there's music, too. I hope it's back this year!

When at the MK on 9/4 I saw the Liberty Belle at the dock on the river. They had the dock all walled off that and they were refurbing it.
The haunted river cruise was awesome during MNSSHP. A dead southern belle tells a ghost story as the boat sails around the river and the three guys that play jazz music while your waiting for her to come out.
