EDIT: btw I realize that this incident doesn't have a lot to do with Carnival since it's not likely their fault in this case but every time I see them in the news I cringe

Most know I am not a fan of Carnival line!

However in this case......its NOT Carnivals fault! When ever a vessel is in the shipyard the safety of the vessel is the responsibility of the shipyard.....e.i.....keeping the vessel along side the pier.

A prayer for the missing man overboard.

Same here, but it really has nothing to do with the current problems. Carnival has always been somewhat of a bargain cruise line. I would rather cruise less and pay more for better quality.

Also, Carnival has a media bulls-eye on them right now. Minor incidents that might be common and would never make the headlines will get reported simply because it is Carnival.
