I'm not sure, but I think those of us from Central Ohio might outnumber even those that live in Central Florida on these boards. I've been on for years, and I still find a new member or two each week from Columbus.
Anyways, I had dinner out tonight and was thinking, who can I share this with? Then I thought, fellow BuckNuts at wdwmagic.com could start an "Angie's List" sort of group about things around town going on and great places to eat and whatnot.
Anyways, the wife's family is Italian. They always go to Carfagna's for Deli trays for family get togethers. We've driven by the Carfagna's Kitchen a few times and keep forgetting to go. So, tonight we made the stop.
So my first review for this chat is Carfagna's Kitchen.
Pizza, Wedding Soup, Pesto, Lasagna. Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy!
Not a meal in the place will cost you over $10. And for under $10, it will knock your socks off. It's counter service and the food was ready within a few minutes of sitting down with the drinks. We'll get the only negative comment out of the way right now: The red sauce is kind of sweet. That's it. So on to the good stuff. The pesto was pretty light tasting and very refreshing. The pizza was great for a $6 pizza. But this takes my top spot for Wedding Soup in Columbus. My wife's family makes the Wedding Soup EVERY Christmas Eve. And I love it every Christmas Eve. I'd never had Wedding Soup until my first Christmas with her family. Now I get Wedding Soup at several places around town. But this was ALMOST as good as the "family" recipe. It was the very sharp parmesan in it that gave it an extra bite.
So if you want a very good, and quick Italian meal at a good price, this is your place.
I'll
