Castle suitably frozen Ms party just was a weird one for him.... he wanted to meet Jack and Sally. This is strange as he doesn’t really do characters. Particularly frustrating was Jack meets regularly at DLP and exactly a year before M decline meeting him with only one person in the queue in front of us!!
Nevertheless back down Main Street we went. We got in the queue around 6.30 and were told we would have about an hours wait, 30 minutes until party started and an estimate based on number of people ahead of us.
I was banking on the meet and greet starting early as I’d read a number of trip reports saying this was often the case at both Halloween and Christmas parties.
We were lucky and they did start early.
This was probably the most awkward character meet I’ve ever done... which is totally on me and not the “friends”. I just find face characters really hard!
Any way M got his picture with jack in his jack shirt and we were out of there by 7.08 so very little actual party time used
We stopped for a picture with the tree
As we had to talk back through the party entrance we got another Minnie cookie, this time we walked the way I was expecting. Sort of parallel with Main Street rather than the big loop we took the first time.
By this time I was really thirsty! So we headed to launching pad to pick up our first drink.
The glasses of cider were tiny! We found this with the cold drinks, they gave part cups rather than the warm drinks were you got a full amount. We grabbed two each and a cookie which we put away for later.
I thought M might like to do the party overlay of space mountain. I stopped doing space a while ago, I just don’t really enjoy it anymore. So off he went to do that whilst I headed to a ride that was more my speed.... the people mover! I really like the people mover by night as the park is so pretty all lit up. Night times have always been my favourite time to be in the castle parks.
Obligatory Tron picture, although I think it’s moved on a bit since.
I got my preview of the space overlay as part of my ride.... I wasn’t sure M was going to feel it was worth the queue!
He wasn’t off yet so I stopped to watch a little of the totally Tomorrowland Christmas show. Now granted I missed the beginning but I wasn’t entirely sure what was going. It was a good way to pass a few minutes and generally the crowd seemed to be enjoying it.
M texted to say he was done so I walked over to our agreed meeting spot. He enjoyed space but said he prefers Paris, which we knew before.
We grabbed a hot chocolate and cookie from cosmic rays. The cookies again went in the bag for later. The polar bears were dancing (there’s a sentence I never thought I would use
) but we didn’t get involved or stay to watch. There were a lot of families who seemed to be having a great time though.
I had a different party overlay to tick off... the tea cups
