The avatar stays...for now. Abandon my beloved Yanks! never ! I started rooting for them in 1969 when I first saw Bobby Murcer play, all the way thru the '70's and the death of Thurman Munson.(my fav Yankee ever ). They keep trading away their players and Weaver is shattering my dreams, but I'll die a Yankee fan.

Munson is one of a few Yankees I can honest say I mourned when he passed away. That aviation accident was tragic.

And all because he wanted to spend more time with his family. He had invited Murcer and his family along as well. Lou Pinella didn't go because he didn't like small planes....just imagine what the world would have lost that day.
