Less loud, noisy Value Resort please ?

On our trip in Oct we used “Hey Disney” for the first time in our room. I set the alarm at the time we wanted to wake up each morning and I heard it set off even though I had ear plugs in. Maybe it was a unique enough message and sounds that alerted me, each morning it differed in character and message. But Inever slept through it.
my wife uses an alarm that gradually wakes you up in the morning. She really enjoys it. She works health care. She had endless stress day in and day out with her front desk position in healthcare.....Sounds like a lot of fun with the characters, but we've never experienced the Hey Disney.

I have stayed at all of them multiple times and maybe not surprisingly the one that is the most "serene" and quiet is the most expensive one of the lot, Art of Animation. Just my experience of course. Having realized this, it's the only value I really want to stay at if I am staying at a value.

The best advice is to schedule your trip if possible for times when groups are less likely to be visiting WDW in mass. It doesn’t matter if it’s value, mod or deluxe, if unchaperoned groups are allowed to run free ( and they all do ) you'll have issues. Even the best insulated walls cannot completely keep the noise out.
I always bring along a good pair of ear plugs and a white noise machine to help me sleep. I suggest you do that too just in case.
UCA High School Nationals are Feb 7-11. And I think UCA All Stars Nationals are similar dates in March.
All All-Star hotels, Coronado, Caribbean Beach, and AKL were the chosen hotels for registration.
FYI for everyone looking to avoid the groups!

To be honest none of the value resorts are quiet. We took a spare of the moment trip one year and Pop Century was the only Resort available. We tried it. We knew it would be different from deluxe but it was not our cup of tea. Over crowded loud felt like we were staying in a housing complex. If on a budget try for a moderate or swan/dolphin.

we just left the YC thursday morning, but as we were sleeping, there were very loud fireworks going off after midnight. although we didn’t get out of bed to look, it sounded very close. we assumed it was from epcot. maybe testing something new or maybe a private event 🤷‍♂️. either way we thought it was strange to hear fireworks that late.

Swan, Dolphin and Reserve are NOT value resort priced, even with discounts.

I'll agree with the Music Poster and with the top floor poster
They are sometimes comparable.

WDW hotels rates are set low Sun-Wed, but go up Thur-Sat. Swan/Dolphin/Sr are included with deluxe resorts for the Extra PM hours perk, so they are priced the reverse. Rates are high for stays on Mon and Wed, but go a little lower if your stay does not include a Mon or Wed.

You can also get a reliable discount via AAA or having an AP (code QWH). If you happen to choose the right date, you might get one of the AAA Hot Rates (though sometimes they are non-refundable rates, so you have to read carefully.)

Using monthly search, I found a Swan rate of $273/night (all taxes and fees included) for Feb 28 -March 3 = a weekend. The same weekend at ASMU- at rack rates would be $239/night. The least expensive currently available WDW room for that weekend is CSR at $293(icl tax) with the 25% off promo. I also found All Star Sports the weekend of 3/14 for $200/night (incl tax) at the 255 promo.

Wow! Late April I just found Dolphin for $226/night (incl tax, at the AP rate). (The AAA refundable rate for those dates is $257 w/tax + fees)

A small sidebar is that one of my credit cards is currently offering a few 10% back offers at some Marriott brands. The one for Westin just expired, but it was (10%) up to $75 back. If someone was lucky, an offer like that can make Swan/Dolphin/SR even closer in price to the WDW value resorts.
