Lego Store

Hey, I'm 35 and have spent more on Legos the last few years than I'd care to admit.
I like the larger Star Wars ones, and the buildings.
I wish they'd do a Cinderella castle, or a Spaceship Earth set.

honestly, the apartment keeps me from doing stuff like that... I literally just don't have the space to display them

I have 10 years on you...and we have my son's lego, my daughter's lego...and my lego!

We put up two Christmas trees every year - one in the front of the house, one at the back. Of course, they both must have trains - so, one is my old Lionel, the other is Lego!

I'm surprised DTD still had a Lego store since Legoland is not too far away! I didn't like the store. I guess I was expecting something bigger and better since it's "Disney".:(

I haven't done the Death Star, but I did do the big Star Destroyer.
My next one I'm going to get is the new X-Wing that releases in May. It has 1559 pieces, and is about twice as big as the x wing that is out now.
The new x wing will be 10in high, 20in long, and 18in across. Though, I believe most of the height comes from the stand the model sits on.
In comparison p, the old x wing measures a bit over 12 inches, and contains 560 pieces.

yeah, or you can buy the old UCS x-wing if you have deep pockets :)

The amount of resale on Lego blows my mind actually.. and how much people will pay for minifigs!

Damnit - I just watched the video on the new xwing.. I'm gonna have to buy that now too :)

Disney did sell these a few years ago. They had their own "lego" sets called Disney Build It and they had a few sets to make your own little Magic Kingdom..With Big Thunder, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, Jungle Cruise, Winnie The Pooh and Cinderella Castle

However..If your Really creative with Lego's you can make your own Splash Mountain like this one..

Though the Lego Store doesn't sell any Disney-specific sets, the store is worth visiting anyway, if only for the larger than life Lego statues around the outside, most of which are Disney based.

They do have Disney specific sets (films, not Parks) but they are not unique to the DTD Lego store.
