Lego Store at DTD

I have a coworker who is going to Florida in 3 weeks or so, and she is going to be spending a day at Downtown Disney. Basically, she wants to know if the Lego Store will be open in March, since it is supposed to be closing down at some point for renovations.

Do you guys think there will be shuttle busses from the Downtown Disney Lego store to Legoland once it opens? We are thinking of going in November and my son is a lego-maniac and I am trying to figure out how we are going to get to Legoland if we take DME from the airport.

No, absolutely not. WDW is not going to permit anyone to take clients away from their property to a different location for a competing company. Besides, Legoland is quite a distance from Orlando despite their advertising -- your choices will be to rent a car, or to see if Mears runs a shuttle that will pick you up at your resort and drop you there -- but because they are so far apart, I highly doubt there will be any type of bus service, though they might offer a van shuttle just like they do to Universal Studios. That is something that you need to arrange with Mears though, Disney concierge will not assist you with travel to a competing park.

All companies that rent property at DD are bound by Disney's rental rules. The entire goal is to keep resort guests on property, not going off property for other entertainment.

That's kind of what I thought. On a side note - I went to the Legoland website yesterday and they posted their November and December hours - they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks) and only open 10AM-5PM the other days. I am *guessing* this means that when the park opens it will not be fully complete, and has me wondering if it would even be worth the trip for just a few hours.
