Leaving in a few weeks - Any important new happenings?

Just wanting to know about any important new happenings at WDW before we leave on September 20th! Our last trip was in Sept. 2007.

One new major happening since you were last there:

Toy Story Midway Mania, at DHS

Any other additions/subtractions are pretty trivial in comparison: some restaurants closing or opening, StormStruck added to Innovations at Epcot, etc.

At AK, you'll find the Pocahantas show closed (permanently). It's now in its last weeks. PrimeEvil Whirl will be closed temporarily for renovations.

I will be heading down Sept. 10 and I haven't been since Oct. 2007. Last time I was there, SSE was closed for refurbishment, so that is something that will be new to see.

Fast passes for Toy Story were gone by 11am every day we were there. My suggestion is to go to DHS for morning extra hours and simply wait in the line. The waiting area is very nice and fun. When we arrived my sister ran ahead to get us FPs. We had planned to wait in line and then hopefully use the FPs. She waited in the FP line for 20 minutes, the line never moved and the FP return time had gone up almost 2 hours in those 20 minutes.
