Leave a legacy

So, I've been to Epcot a trillion times. And, I know every nook and cranny in the park. And my friends differ to me completely when I take them there. I'm sure many of you can say the same thing.
But, how many of you have pledged your allegiance to, what I like to call, "The Big E" by putting your mug on Leave a Legacy?
I haven't gotten around to it yet and, to be honest, I don't have a good excuse for myself. I've just never gotten around to it. I get a discount because I'm a passholder, but I've just never gotten around to it.
but, never mind all that. 'll deal with that when the time comes... the question is, hom many of you have left a legacy in Epcot and where can I and all the rest of us check you out when we go?

If the pictures weren't the size of a quarter for the price they are, I might consider it. Although I wish they'd move the things somewhere else and put the entrance back to the way it was.

I´m there for free! hehe.... when they were looking for people to be on the sample pics, I posed with a friend of mine and our picture was chosen. I know I was in the walls a few times -not sure if those are still there- but I know I am at least twice on a big picture on the "leg" of Spaceship Earth. Right on the one in front of the entrance of the ride, on the left side -from SE- of it. I´ll try to dig out the pic Mr.P took of my picture and post it here. :animwink:

My personal oppinion on the Leave a Legacy is it should be removed. We do not need a huge cemetary at the entrance to the park. I asked them recently if I could reserve a spot to be buried there?????? :sohappy:

We just put our kids photos on this summer. Not sure why so many people don't like this. Anyway kids thought it would be cool to be able to come back each year and when they have kids to come back and look at the photo or tell their friends to look for them. At $25 I think that's a bargin. you go there so much I think it's a natural choice for you...:D

My wife and I did it on our honeymoon in 2000. We thought it would be cool to bring our kids back and show them. It was only $25, which is the price of lunch there.

We also did it for our 2000 honeymoon! ~Although I thought it wsa more than the usual $25 for 2 people to be in one shot. My memory might be playing tricks on me.

Anyway, it was kind of neat last week to go find our image. We took a picture of it.

The price has gone down on LAL since it first opened, it used to be $35 for one person and $38 for two. I had mine done October 11, 1999. I know exactly were it is but don't have the card they give you explaining how to find your pic. When it was first being done you could access your photo on the web.

My wife and I are up there twice....

We bought one on New Year's Eve 2000 to 2001...

Then on our honeymoon this past summer, we got one as part of our package.

My girlfriend and i had ours done on October 1, 1999. I still have the card with barcode. The location is west 5-3-1-4-22. I have only seen it once and that was later the same day we had it done. I'm glad we did it, i think it's cool to have something of myself that may remain at Epcot for 20 years.

First of all the pseudo-picture is as big as a fingernail. I would rather belong to the leave a brick foundation.

You must have some mighty big fingers! I wouldn't mind getting a brick one day. I just hate to look down and see them all crumbled :(

I think the idea is cool, but I really don't like what it did to the entrance plaza of Epcot. I don't think I'd mind as much if it were in a different location or at least less of an obstruction. Because of that, I liked the bricks around the 7 Seas Lagoon better.

I'll probably get mine on my future honeymoon, but I'd also love to have a brick. I heard those have been discontinued, though...

My wife and I got one last year in November when we got married at the Wedding Pavillion. We got two squares, one for text and one for our pic together, and it cost us less than 30 bucks.

A brick owner told me that Disney has the right to remove your brick around the Magic Kingdom at any thime, and you need to pay them again if you want the brick back. Is this true? And are these the same condititions for the LAL photos? :veryconfu

 We got our LAL photos in 1999(my fiance and I,we got married at the Wedding Pavilion 10/00) then in Jan. 2000 we took my fiance's grandmother there to WDW for her first time and she got her picture done with her daughter. It was her 95th b-day when we took her and she died a year later, so we can all see her picture at EPCOT when we go there....we always have to go see "Mema" when we go into EPCOT...brings back good memories.
As for the bricks around the world, I got us a block in 1997 for my wife's first visit to WDW. We visit it all the time and it remains in very good condition. I do believe there is a clause in the agreement that says Disney can remove it whenever they want to. :(

:sohappy: Hey Mainstreet USA!! Did you two enjoy your wedding at the Wedding Pavilion as much as we did? We had no conventional wedding music at all...my wife walked into the chapel to "wish upon a star..." and we walked out to "zippity doo da" , it was great!!
