What does the laundry service at All Star Movies consist of and how much does it cost? Anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks,

Mark

In April of this year there were half a dozen or so washers and dryers down by the Sorcerer pool. There is a kiddie pool right outside the door and movie hall and the pool bar are fifty to a hundred feet away so you can get something to snack on or drink while waiting for your clothes. It's a small place, no chairs inside, just an island in the middle to fold clothes on. I think it's the standard two dollars to wash and two dollars to dry. No one complained of any of the machines being defective in any way. Hope that helps.

Have fun..still 2,348,206 seconds till I depart.

We were there in May/June of this year...party of 8 for 10 days with 5 kids...you bet I did laundry! We were in Dalmation Bldg. #1 and I used the laundry that was by the Mighty Ducks pool. I brought my own Tide Tablets and dryer sheets...packed in suitcase...bring lots of quarters and plan on using two dryers for every load of laundry unless you want to be there all night long..OR use that handy little drying line in the bathroom to let things airdry...I did laundry on two different days...and didn't have any problems...clean and it was much easier to keep track of the kids in the Mighty Duck pool.....but if you are say in Love Bug then the laundry by the Mickey Sor. Pool will be closer! 6 washers...12-14 dryers, vending machines with laundry supplies..at a Disney price, and soda/snack machine! Lots of seating right outside by the pool area so maybe one adult can watch the kids while the other starts the laundry...most people didnt stand in there the whole time w/laundry...but we all talked, exchanged tips etc while we were there! I always pack lighter and do laundry at least once.

The laundry room by the Might Ducks pool is much easier to get into! Take lots and lots of quarters. I had to dry one small load of clothes 4 times. It wasn't just the dryer I had because others were complaining also. This was last September, so the dryers may have been fixed by now. It is much more relaxing to wait by the pool! We were in the Toy Story building and would walk to this laundry room. It is nice to see all of the property.

they must have done some work to the dryers...I did most of my loads in two rounds...even the Levi's shorts..which were all denim and took longer...definately need to break them into smaller loads though..I didnt know this the first time and one large load did take 3 times...I learned after that one! But you are right quarters, quarters, quarters!

Just watch out for that one man-eating dryer that attacked Jay_Rod!!

Seriously, I find that commercial dryers are either too hot...and shrink my clothes...or too cool, and it takes forever! However, it still beats trying to pack a full week of clothes.

Oh yeah I would have to vote for the too hot as well! That first night I did laundry I was there all alone til about 2am! Not what I had planned..but live and learn...it would have been next to impossible for my husband and I to pack 10 days worth of clothes for all 8 of us and still keep our sanity!
