great videos justin! would you mind if i added them to the #disney-central collection of disney media (giving you full credit of course) and made them available in our IRC channel?

i just threw together a site with info about the channel and how to get connected - i'm still working on it, but it can be found here

ps - i just noticed the site is really screwy right now - still workin on it

Justin, That's exceptional quality! Good job man! Can Popkid add these to his file server bot on IRC? We'd really love to add them. Feel free to drop in the IRC channel sometime and we can chat! :sohappy:

i love the idea of the irc channel and i used to be an avid visitor of the ftp when it was active. heres my problem though when im at school, im blocked from using irc and lots of file sharing programs. Anyone is wlecome to chat with me at my aol IM screenname justin149, though i really cant stand it when people are relentless about wanting to get something, it gets very annoying.

uh... i'm confused... was that comment geared towards me somehow? not sure how to take it, am i being relentless or annoying somehow?

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
Well... its just that some of us dont like irc.... or have firewall issues...etc... I loved the .ftp. I think the way Justin is doing it now is great :)

The whole reason Popkid moved the ftp to an irc-based medium though was to protect WDWMagic. What if Disney came knocking on the door here and saw all these links to files (some copyright *cough cough*)? He didn't want to get Steve, the owner in any trouble or liable for these files. I don't see anything in the terms of service here about these links, so he could get charged with knowingly allowing links to copyrighted material on his website. We don't want WDWmagic to be shutdown over something like this. We love WDWMagic! Now park videos and home videos are perfectly legal, but such things as entire ripped CDs as MP3s from retail sources is a no no according to the RIAA. The intellectual copyright owners might be a wee bit upset, ya know?

Plus by moving it to irc it allows direct interacting with the people here as well as games (trivia) and other means of obtaining these files. The IRC channel is not a replacement for WDWmagic, just something to compliment to maybe chat in real time, have some fun and download a video or something.

It just felt safer to add some distance between here and the access to these files. It's unfortunate that some firewalls completely block irc though. If there's a way around that, I would like to know.

my comment in no way was geared towards you, i was just saying in general, whenever i have movies i like to share or give away, people get very annoying and are relentless, IM'ing me at every waking moment. so i was just saying if you want something let me know, but ask once thats it.

I get a "Unable to load filter" error. Windows Media Player

Hi! I am assuming you are using some form of windows.

Try to right-click ont he files above and "Save target as". Then click on the downloaded files to play. If that doesn't work, you might want to visit

http://windowsmedia.com/9series/detection/ContentReq.asp?os=yes&detect=yes

According to Justin's videos, they use:
Windows Media Audio 9
Windows Media Video V8()

So I believe if you can get those two things on your system, the files will play. You may try upgrading to a later version of Windows Media Player. I use version 6.4. I have had issues with the latest versions of Media Player and had to revert back to this older version to get around them. If you are all updated, you might try doing the same. Good luck!

Ben
