I know Disney offers various deals throughout the year depending on peak / off peak. I plan on going down likely during late Aug. of 2014 (Next year). To my knowledge Disney will release Jan 2014-Dec. 2014 come time July 10th, do they at that time release the "Late Summer Vacation Package" deal to save up to 5%-30% off ? Or do I need to wait for that to get posted in the middle of 2014 ? Basically I wanted to know not just the prices for next year, but if they post deals on July 10th in the next week or so or will i need to wait 6-10mo. or more down the road ? It would be nice to plan my vacation a year in advance rather than scramble the last few months. ;)

You can book your vacation up to 500 days in advance. You will have to wait until they release the discounts for the time you are going and then call them up and have the discount applied to your trip.

Deals are offered to fill rooms when they aren't filling to the percentage that they want or expect. They have no reason to offer deals for 2014 on July 10, 2013 when the pricing is first released. You will need to wait until it gets closer.

Residents from the UK get offers much earlier, as they tend to plan that much further in advance - as well as visit the States for 2-3 WEEKS at a time.

Also keep in mind, if you book a room at a resort with Disney, there is no guarantee that a discount offer will include your resort/ room type. Joe is correct when he said that discounts are offered to fill up unsold rooms. If a specific resort has a lot of rooms sold for a particular period in time, they may not have any rooms to sell at a discount. Also when you are calling to "Apply" the discount to your room, you are actually exchanging your full price room for adiscounted one of the same type. If there are no discounted rooms, of course there may be alternate hotels/room types that you can select from, depending on availability. FYI. Marie
