Late Nite Fun

My wife and I will be in WDW in late October and we noticed that, in general, the parks close relatively early. So... what is there to do in WDW after eight pm in October now that PI is closed?

While they are not necessarily as exciting as PI the lounges in many of the deluxe hotels can be great places to unwind and have a drink or two. I am especially fond of the ones in the GF and the Poly.

You can stand there and stare at each other.

Seriously, about the only Disney "night spot" is the Boardwalk

Resort lounges are nice, but I feel like I am on a business trip when I hang in a hotel bar. Not to say I have not had fun the the hotel bar (at WDW and on business trips - UPS pilots can tell some stories) but it just does not feel like "vacation" to me.

For me it's probably have a late dinner, perhaps take advantage of EMH and then pass out ready for the next day. If we're feeling particually energetic we might go for a walk around DTD but thats about it.

In short, after a long day in the park I'm just too tired to do anything else. No wonder PI was quiet!

I can think of a lot to do with my wife at night...most of it would have to be done in our room though:D

Seriously though, the hotels lounges are nice. We've gone monorail hopping from lounge to lounge, having a drink and appetizer in each -- Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and then took the boat to WL (where we were staying) and finished up there. You could also do the same around the EPCOT resorts, especially the Boardwalk. There's also mini golf. Aside from that, if you didn't rent a car, I'm not sure what else you can do.

There was a thread a few weeks back about other places you and you wife could do things together too. :drevil:

Yeah, that was my thread that got hijacked. I was originally asking who had made a baby at Disney, not who was practicing making a baby on the hammock at the Poly or in the monorail!:lookaroun
