My mother & I wil be arriving late on Saturday November the 27th, 2010. I am at a total loss for dinner options! I've looked at some places and either the closing times shown won't work for us or they aret showing times at all.

Unless a miracle happens and I can swing leaving work at 330 that Saturday to be able to catch the 450 flight, we will be taking the 6 o'clock flight out of Nashville putting us at MCO at 850. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge & will not be going to the parks that night obviously due to a late flight. In park dining I'm fine with, it's the outside.

We are not terribly picky eaters other than I don't eat any kind of sea food & we don't branch out much past turkey, chicken, pork, or beef. My mom could easily go veggie. I am currently thinking our best option is to ditch our things quickly once we arrive (I'm thinking we will be in our ro by 1030 .. Am I wishfully wishing this? In august I remmebernour flight landed at 10 and we were in the parks by 11-1130 but I could be mistaken- my adrenaline was going!), and head to downtown Disney. We loveee Bongos and I'm hoping the serving time is correct, til 1130? Should I still make a late night reservation?

I also saw Planet Hollywood is serving til 1145. I just know that the cafes in the value/mods seem to shut down most choices past pizza or snacky stuff that late so I wanted to know some options!

Oh, and for what it's worth - it won't be on the DDP we will be eating this one out of pocket and as for DTD, obviously both over 21 in case that matters entry wise! TIA!

Just in case you are delayed, Roaring Forks in Wilderness Lodge serves light snacks all night.

The Artist's Point lounge in WL serves lite snacks and stuff at the bar. I remember having something with pulled pork there one time and I seem to remember having some other snacks there as well.:slurp:

I would check to see which park has EMH and check the menus for that park. Not all, but some of the restaurants/snack carts in the parks will still be open and you can grab something from them. Have a great trip!

This is what I would do. As soon as you check in to the WL, have the concierge check if any of the restaurants within your hotel are availble for a meal. (Whispering Canyon, Artist's Point).
If not, you can pick up food from Roaring Forks until 11 pm. If that is already closed, have the concierge check the Downtown Disney restaurants for you. No sense in going all the way there to find out what is open.

When I stayed there in August, they had a sign up that said "open 24 hours, limited offerings after 11 PM"

I really didn't check into what limited offerings means. Maybe only the pre-pack stuff. But it did say it was open all night.

Remember it takes about 45 mins or so to get to the resort from the airport, and they may be even longer if they already filled a bus going to the Lodge and I am sure others are on the same bus. I would probably grab a quick thing to bring with you while you are at the airport, then you could eat it there or take it on the bus and eat it after you check in. You can always see what has Magic hours, but many restaurants don't serve all the way up until the park closes.
