Late day passes for convention goers

How much are late day passes for convention goers? Are they only good after a certain time? I'm going to a convention in a few months and my hotel sells late day passes. But I've never heard about them before.

I recall seeing the at the Marriott World Orland Center when I was there for a convention about 3yrs ago and they were valid from 4:00pm and I recall the price being 1/2 of a one day one park ticket.

I've never heard of them at all...perhaps they're not advertised and they're only supposed to be offered to people who are actually at a convention?

I did not know you can buy them I always though they were handed out.

I was at a conference in June in Orlando. Disney was selling an after 2pm single day/single park ticket for $44. They had an after 2pm 2 day/2 park (not park hopping) ticket for $78. They also had some discounted, expiring, 2 and 3 day park hopper passes for convention attendees only. The tickets were sold through the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Thanks for the info. Moustronaut. I was psyched after reading about the convention tickets when you was there. Park hopper tickets are better than half day passes. I was also psyched that I just received an email for the convention. Great timing. They have single day one park passes, half day one park passes, and multi day park hopper tickets. I don't know which ones to buy. I have to decide at least 10 days prior to my departure since they can only be purchased in advance.
