Last minute CBR advice?

It's been awhile since we stayed there, but its a spead out resort. I would definitely look at a resort map and request a building based on your needs. We really liked Trinadad North. It was an easy walk to the main pool and Old Port Royale, plus the bus stop was right at our building. Have fun!

I "three-peat" the suggestion to request a room in Aruba or Jamaica neat the footbridge. The hammocks on the beach and the steel drum music throughout the resort are a nice touch. Enjoy!

You can also buy the coconut postcard in the MK. The Adventureland gift shop has them.

I never knew about these coconut postcards. Very cool concept!

They were crazy expensive. I think $20-$25.

Just stayed here the 1st-8th of this month. We absolutely LOVED it! We felt as though we were in the Caribbean & my DD5 loved the pool & slides! We've stayed at Pop & AOA in the past & think that their food courts are much better than CBR's though. Anyway, it was clean & we got character towels on our 1st day. Didn't have any musty smell that the boards talk about. We stayed in Trinidad North building 31 water view. It was great & not too far from the food court & gift shop. I had many apprehensions about staying here but, I worried for nothing because we had a wonderful stay & a great trip!

We will be at CBR in a couple of weeks and I want to request Aruba or Jamaica near the bridge....is it best to do online check-in and just check those two options for the room request and ask to be near the bridge when I arrive at check-in, or not do online check-in and make those request when I arrive?

Heading to CBR for the weekend starting Thursday night? Any last minute tips for this resort? We are eating at Shutters Friday night after we watch Illuminations from the pool :)

We stayed in CBR 3/3 - 3/6/2014 - in Aruba - long walk to the food court. However, the resort is absolutely beautiful and very colorful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Our Magic Bands did not work that first day at breakfast, but the lady at the cash register just told us to go ahead and enjoy our breakfast and then check in with customer service to settle up and get the bands working. Apparently, there was a huge Magic Band failure the night before. Everyone at the resort was helpful and pleasant - very impressed with the whole experience.

Put it as a request when you check in online, and then confirm it when you pick up your packet.

I've made the requests before, and never had one turned down. Though, they are clear to point out they won't guarantee it!

Thinking of stayin at CBR Oct '14, would love to know more about the resort. My boys r obsessed with the pirate rooms and want to stay here really bad. They also like that the pool and kiddie area are pirate themed as well! Anymore insight on this resort would be much appreciated!

Also, had anyone's kids here done the pirate cruise at this resort? Details please...

We stayed there I think it was May of 2012, we stayed in a pirate room. It was really cute. My son enjoyed it. I will tell you that the beds are tiny, doubles I think. Maybe it was just us, DH and I split up with a kid in each bed. I ended up on the floor :p. It was a nice stay tho. I am more picky now about reserving a room with queen size beds. lol

My family (5 year old, 1 year old, mom, dad, and grandmom) stayed in one of the pirate themed rooms last April over Easter. Room was in the furthest building, Trinity I think. Was a little bit of a walk to the main pool and food court but nice weather and a nice resort made it go by quick. Our bus stop was the first pick-up so never an issue with finding a seat-Score! Was last stop coming back though. Pool is great! Nice theme, they had marshmallow roasting every night too. Kids lunches at the food court served in bucked with a shovel so the kids can play in the sand beaches.

By the way, My autistic son Loved the pirate room!
