News From My Backstage MK Adventure: LOTS of activity in Fantasyland Expansion, looks to be part of Beasts Castle as well taking shape

What ride in Fantasyland is not closed! LOL Or being refurbished lol Its nice they are making changes but by the pictures it looks SO CRAMPED! But its going to be worth it next year!!!

I am a big proponent for what is going on and I understand that attractions have to go down to make this happen. After being there last week however I can attest that MK is a mess. We were lucky that our DD didn't know the difference, but I can understand how some would be upset at the maze of construction walls and attraction closures.

I'd bet that Disney has changed the maintenance schedule and instead of allowing the parks to become run down and then doing fixes on a large scale, they will now follow a more scheduled maintenance program. Disneyland has done this since the 50th. It is all part of changing the management strategies that were practiced under the previous management team and, in this case at least, going back to strategies that worked in the distant past. These changes take time but they are definitely happening.

And let me say, my last visit to DL- well, it looked terrific!
Two years ago, I had a great time at WDW, but I couldn't believe the upkeep issues. Glad for this change in policy!

These new photos are awesome. I hadn't seen a clear view (meaning aerial from Dumbo!) of Mrs. Potts with the new roof - looks great.

Is anyone else completely addicted to this site - checking back every half hour to see if anything new was posted. It's really starting to interfere with my work!!

I see what your talking about. That light blue stuff is waterproofing for the concrete walls for the BATB restaurant basement/lower level. All of that stuff gets buried with backfill until level with the current Fantasyland THEN vertical steel work like over at Little Mermaid starts. Have patience it won't to too long now.

i'm about every five.. i need help :)... the only people i follow on twitter are about 16 disney news sites. then i search twitter manually for pics and updates and then try to post them here.

This site definitely lets me get my Disney fix so I can stop incessantly talking about it to my family and friends! :D

Thanks NYwdwfan - very cool site, been a reader, but now I am starting to post. What can I say, I am a nut for this Magic stuff!
