Just another example of them cutting out bit by bit the little things that made WDW special.

Once something is gone, it is next to impossible to get back as some executive will get a big bonus for saving the company this money.

Write letters now. Complain now ...or keep your mouth shut after it happens because they will never return.

Regarding the Pineapple — we just contacted Tambu today and received the response that they have not heard anything about discontinuing the pineapples at all. Sometimes they run low and have to order new cases, but there doesn’t seem to be any danger of the pineapples going by the wayside. Crisis averted.

Relax people..The pineapple will still be used in the Lapu..( Disney food blog June 10th ) Spoke to manager of the pineapple farm in Hawaii ( Mr Del Monte ) He says " Yes,it's been a bad year for the growth of Pineapples,but a wee lassie called @figmentfan423 has donated a substantial amount of money to save the pineapple fund as her friend @LuLaSue and @DisneyDebNJ could not survive without their Lapu Lapu..All hail @figmentfan423..Hip Hip Hooray!;)

Well, if it turns out to be true - very bad - then we will start hearing complaints in very short order. It would not surprise me that some bean counter thought he could save a little money and make himself look good. Under the current Disney leadership, saving money seems to be top priority.

This confuses me a little. When you buy a Lapu Lapu served in a pineapple, you are in fact paying for the actual pineapple as well. I don't remember the exact cost, but the drink itself is something like $4-$5 less without the pineapple.
