Maybe that is because the NY teams are never any good. Growing up in the Detroit area, hockey was always popular, and for me is/was fun to watch.

hmmm, 1927? Yeah, that's a piece of the pie that we're still hanging on to. Anyone from the team still alive? In recent years, only the Rangers with their one season has had anything to crow about. I view the Red Wings a whole lot more successful than either the Islanders or the Rangers.

I dont have class....no one is hanging on it.......your a j@ck-a$$ if you think i dont have class..........New York has 8 Cups and Detriot has 10......NOT THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE....all i was commenting on was the comment that said we didnt have good hockey

For the record...New York as a whole is a terrible hockey town. No support for the teams. He is right...8 cups between 2 teams is not the same as 10 cups for one. And to say that hockey is the most boring of the major sports is ludacris. Its fast, physical and requires more thought and intelligence than you could possibly muster in your pinky finger.

Get with the program, its the fastest of the major sports. And the only one that requires you to learn another skill before beginning to learn and respect the game. Anyone can run and walk, but not many people can skate, control a puck, and look for plays developing all at the same time.

And for the no class comment, it wasn't because you posted the years you won the Cup ( which I am sure you had to look up anyways ) it was for the comment you made at the end.

There isnt even going to be a hockey season next year.......so its not a popular game.....and i bet you dont know all the dates of winnings either........big deal i looked the earlier ones up......hockey is a boring sport....i hope there is a lock out next season...saves the sportscenter reporters to be interested in showing highlights when its like pulling teeth!

With the exception of Soccer, hockey is the fastes growing sport in the country. Just a shame morons like you can't pull their heads out of their....well....you know, and actually watch a decent sport.

And there are more leagues than just the NHL and its not due to is "popularity" that there is going to be a lock out....genius. Is that why there was a lock out in baseball a few years back???

Soccer and Hockey are the worst sports to watch......I didnt say that it was gonna be locked out because of popularity i was sayin it wasnt popular in general.............the sport is lacking and thats it.....its all because of money.....duh.....oh and now im a moron real mature.....
